Shadow drove me home using my car, leaving his motorcycle wherever he parked it. I insisted that I was able to go home by myself but, he ignored my protest and even said he would use his powers to teleport back to his motorcycle; so it wasn't really a big hassle for him to do this. I saw no use in arguing with him, so I submitted to defeat. What I didn't expect was for Shadow stay over at my apartment for a little while. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I would love to spend more time with Shadow. It's just... I don't really know how to feel right now after everything that happened today.

Now here we were, sitting on my couch watching some TV as I filled in Shadow what happened between me and Sonic. I sat on the left side of the sofa wrapped up in a blue fluffy blanket. As for Shadow, he was sitting on the very right side with his left arm stretched across the top of the sofa, and his right arm resting on the armrest. He was slightly slouching in his spot while his right leg was overlapping his left leg. He had his familiar poker face on, as his line of sight was fixated on whatever the TV was currently broadcasting. The TV was also our only source of light at the moment, and I drew my balcony's curtains together so no one walking along the street could view inside.

"I'm still really sorry that I ditched our date Shadow..." I apologized for the 30th time into my blanket, muffling out my voice. He probably doesn't even care though...

"Keep on apologizing like that, and I will get mad." Shadow said nonchalantly as he watched the TV.

There was a moment of silence before I began to weakly speak again. "How... How come you didn't bother to call me or even text me throughout the whole time?"

I was kind of scared to hear the answer. What if he just didn't care? Well, that can't be true because he's here with me right now, making sure that I'm alright. So, he must've been worried about me.... I hope.

"Sonic." He said in a stern voice. "He texted me; "I'm taking back what's rightfully mine." I knew he meant you, so I just started searching everywhere."

I frowned. "You're not really answering my..."

"I don't really have a clear reason to give you on why I didn't just ask about your whereabouts, okay?" He slightly raised his voice at me.

I stiffen my body. A little scared at how Shadow sounded mad. He glanced over at me and sighed heavily.

"Sorry..." He quietly mumbled. Almost making it impossible for me to hear. He really can't say sorry in person, can he?

I didn't choose to respond. I just brought my knees closer to my chest and glanced over at Shadow. Even with just the TV light illuminating Shadow's figure, he was breathtaking. I trailed my gaze down his extended arm and stirred in my spot. I wonder if I could just slide in between Shadow... Would be pushed me away or wrapped his arms around my shoulders? I blushed at the thought of Shadow bringing me close to his chest, letting me rest my head on his soft chest fur. I then buried my face into my blanket and internally screamed, still thinking about that cutesy moment.

"What...are you doing..." Shadow cautiously asked.

I dug even further into my blanket. "H-huh? N-n-n-nothing really! Just got suddenly cold, you know? Ha ha ha!" I awkwardly laughed in the blanket.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps going onto the wooden floor. I quickly brought my head out of my burrow and looked over to my right. Shadow was no longer sitting down. He was standing in front of my balcony, drawing the curtains back and unlocking it.
