"We're not Leaving." Rick growled. We all got back into the cell block, and Hershel began to push to leave again.

"We can't stay here." Hershel pressed.

"What if there's another sniper?" Maggie asks. Mason whimpers into my lap, and Ava snuggles closer to Michi. "A wood pallet won't stop on of those rounds."

"We can't even go outside." Beth pointed out.

"Not in the daylight." Carol added.

"Rick says we're not running, we're not running." Glenn said sternly.

"No, better to live like rats." Merle said through the gated door.

"Merle, don't start." I snapped.

"You got a better Idea?" Rick says to Merle.

"Yeah, we should have slid out of here last night and lived to fight another day." Merle says. It did make sense. "But we lost that window, didn't we? I'm sure he's got scouts on every road out of this place by now."

"We ain't scared of that prick." Daryl stated from above.

"Y'all Should be. That truck through the fence thing, that's just him ringing the doorbell. Mikayla, knows that. Don't you Mickey Mouse." Merle says with a smile.

"Keep her outta this." Daryl snapped.

"We might have some thick walls to hide behind," Merle says to Rick. "but he's got the guns and numbers. And if he takes the high ground around this place, shoot, he could just starve us out if he wanted to."

"Let's put him in the other cell block." Maggie said.

"No. He's got a point." Daryl pointed out.

"This is all you. You started this." Maggie shouts at Merle.

"What difference whose fault it is? What do we do now?" Beth says.

"Finally, someone actually gets it." I chuckle.

"I said we should leave." Hershel states once more. "Now Axel's dead. We can't just sit here."

Rick begins to walk away, and Hershel stands up on his crutches. HE looked pissed.

"Get Back Here!" HE yells at Rick. His shouts echo the empty depressed cell block. "You're slipping, Rick. We've all seen it. We understand why. But now is not the time. You once said this isn't a democracy. Now you have to own up to that. I put my family's life in your hands. Daryl's family's life in your hands. So get your head clear and do something."

Rick stops then walks away. I start to slow clap.

"Damn Hershel, That  was awesome." I tell him. " You do this often? Side Job?"

"Why are you even here?" Glenn groaned.

"Cause unlike some assholes, I don't leave family behind." I growl, while looking at Merle, who looking at Daryl.

"Mickey Mouse, you ever gonna stop throwing low blows?" Merle chuckled.

"Only when the other person grows a pair to fix the problem." I shot back.

"Why is everyone fighting?" Mason asks. The room becomes silent and waits for my awnser.

"Cause everyone is scared Mase." I say softly. Ava then comes over to me and pokes my shoulder. "What's up baby girl?"

"Can I go play with Mur-Mur?" She asked innocently.

"Yeah, just ask Maggie to open the door for you. Be safe." I instruct. I trust Merle, he would be good to her. Don't mean I ain't pissed at him. Mason then yawns in my lap, making me chuckle. "You tired?"

"I couldn't sleep last night." She mumbles. I pick her p and carry her up the stairs to the cell. From across the prison, I see Dare staring. He seemed conflicted and hurt. He looked down then went downstairs. Mason snuggle on the bed as I listened to downstairs.

"Field's filled with walkers. Didn't see any snipers out there, but we'll keep Maggie on watch." I hear Rick say out loud as the cage door closes.

"I'll get up in the guard tower, take out half them walkers, give these guys a chance to fix the fence." Daryl suggests."Mikayla got a  lot of them, but we need to clear it out."

"We could use some of the cars to put the bus in place." Michi suggests.

"We can't access the field without burning through our bullets." Hershel points out.

"So we're trapped in here. There's barley any food or ammo." Glenn says, putting a damper on everyone's Ideas.

"Been Here before. We'll be all right." Daryl says, trying to reason.

"That's when it was just us." Glenn said. "Before there was a snake in the nest."

"Man, we gonna do this again?" Daryl snapped. "Look, Merle's staying here. He's with us now. Get used to it." I heard the footsteps come towards us, then stop at the cell.

"Mason." Daryl called. Mason got up, looked at him, then curled up with her stuffed Tiger Ika. "Mase, we gotta talk."

"You promised." She squeaked. "You promised you wouldn't leave me."

"I'm sorry Pinky. I really am." He said softly as he knelt at her bed. Mason tugged on her fingers and I saw the tears begin.

"Hey Mason, Can I tell you a story?" I ask her, Daryl looked at me weird. "This is a story of the Idiot with a crossbow."

Mason giggled and sat up straight to listen. Daryl sat on the edge of the bed and listened.

"The Idiot with a crossbow was no ordinary Idiot. He was a ruff redneck who hated everyone. But then one day, a princess came into his world. Do you know the princess' name?"

"Alex?" Mason mumbled.

"Nope. Her name was Mason." I watched as Mason's eyes lit up. "She was the best princess ever. She let The Idiot have a soft side. Though he did screw up a lot, he always tried to show her how much he loved her." I say softly.

"Why did the Idiot leave?" Mason asked.

"Cause he thought his brother, Moron, needed him. Though Moron was an ass, Idiot loves him very much. But everyday he was away from his princess....his heart would break." I told her. Mason looked up at Daryl, tears flowing down her face.

"Come here Princess." Daryl whispered as he held his arms out. Mason launched herself and snuggled into his chest. He rocked her back and forth whispering in her ear things that made her smile. I got up and left the cell, giving them room.

Yes, I am still mad at Dixon, but I won't let that little girl suffer from it. She is family, and though Dare screwed up big time, I would help them stay together.

I won't let them fall apart.
