Zombie Apocalypse

Chapter 4

"Just don't freak the guy out..." Elizabeth said upon entrance to the gym walking toward the chair opposite Gaby.

"No problem because you will be fighting him." I say as Ash steps into the ring.

"No way we have been over this before.  Do you not remember the karate stories I have told you?" Elizabeth asks walking backwards toward a wall as I approach her.

Elizabeth's mom enrolled Elizabeth in a karate training class and Elizabeth could not hit the people there.  She could but then she would feel guilty about it, so she would  just let the children hit her.  She always came to school sore because she would always get hit or thrown.  The only way she would hit her opponent was if they hit her face.  Other then that she just blocked the hits and stood still no matter who yelled at her.

"I remember perfectly.  Just go." I said sighing and rolling my eyes.  I steered Elizabeth to the ring and everyone followed to watch the fight.  As long as Ash doesn't do anything stupid he'll be alright.

"Fight! Fight!  Fight!" Gaby yelled once Elizabeth entered the ring.  Katia rolled her eyes and hit  Gaby's head with the back of her hand.

Elizabeth went to one corner of the ring hesitantly, while Ash went to the other.  I walked towards Elizabeth and grabbed her shoulders.  

"Elizabeth I know you wont hit him because he is Xander's friend, but at least try.  Neither of us know what that boy is capable of so just don't get hurt. As a friend I tell you to try you best. As a member of this group I tell you to fight him and don't make yourself look weak in his eyes." I finished and we gazed at Ash and Xander talking. Finally, they turn their attention towards us and Xander gives us the thumb up sign. I leave Elizabeth and join Gaby and Katia.

"She is going to fail." Katia said and put her head in her hands.

"Most likely." Gaby said.

"Have faith." I replied as we gazed up to look at Ash and Elizabeth circling around.

"FIGHT ALREADY!" Gaby screamed getting impatiently.

Ash moved forward quickly and hit Elizabeth right under her right eye.

"That boy is dead." I said and lowered my head.  Katia and Gaby gave me questioning looks.

Elizabeth staggered backwards and then regained herself.  She moved to the side as Ash swung at her face again.  Elizabeth moved to the side of Ash so that she was only able to see one side of his face.  He spun around just as Elizabeth punched him.  Her fist connected to the center of his face.  Ash staggered backwards.  He screamed the word shit as he fell hard on the mat.  He propped himself up on his hands but struggled to move back up.

"GO ASH!" Gaby yelled as Katia shot her a dirty look.

"What?" Gaby said shrugging her shoulder.

Elizabeth kicked Ash in the side on a hunch she had that he would be mad if he got back up.  Ash cringed, and started to get back up slowly.  Elizabeth didn't know what to do so she put one foot to Ash's chest and he feel back down to the ground.

"Whooooo!" I yelled proud of Elizabeth.

"Ash just move out under!" Xander yelled.  Ash seemed to understand what we didn't.  He grabbed Elizabeth's foot and propped himself up on his elbows.  Elizabeth struggled to get her foot lose.  Elizabeth pulled back and in the process helped Ash up. Once Elizabeth noticed this she tried to punch Ash. Ash caught her fist and pulled Elizabeth forward.  Ash brought Elizabeth's head to his knee and smashed her head into his knee twice.  He let Elizabeth go and Elizabeth accidentally tripped him as she staggered about.  Elizabeth saw her Ash on the floor and banged his head on the mat.

"Shit...BAD IDEA! BAD IDEA! BAD IDEA!" I yelled as me and Xander ran into the arena to separate Ash and Elizabeth.  I yanked Elizabeth away from Ash and passed her to Katia and went back to check if Ash was okay while Katia checked Elizabeth.  I approached Ash who was sitting down looking dazed looking from side to side like he was looking for someone.  I approached them slowly.

"Hey Ash....Are you okay?" I said slowly pronouncing each word.

"Can I still come with you guys?" He asked slowly not meeting my eyes.  Xander and Gaby shot me looks that said say yes or we will personally break all of your bones.

I glanced back at Elizabeth.  Well, they are not going to be good group members.  I sighed and looked up at Ash,"Fine." 

"Thanks." He said and whispered to me, " Do you know if the blonde one likes me?"

"I have no clue." I said with a smile, I glanced at Gaby,and walked back to Elizabeth.

"You okay" I asked hesitantly.

"Perfectly fine." Elizabeth said prying herself from Katia's grasp.

"You know I said I didn't want to fight him but now..." Elizabeth whispered into my ear and paused of effect," I really don't want to fight him." I laugh for a while until I heard the sound of pounding filling the room.

"Um......" I said as everyone turned to Ash.

"No problem...probably just a Z." Ash said and shrugged his shoulder.  

I swear I am going to kill this boy.

"Okay no problem.  All I need is my bag."  I said trying to stay calm.  I searched for my bag only not to find it.

"Where is my bag?" I asked Xander.  He winced and replied that it was at the little shack where we entered in.

"UGH! FUCK YOU UNIVERSE." I screamed.

"Wow." Ash said and walked toward a closet behind the arena.  He opened the closet to reveal weapons of sorts.

"And you cursed at the universe..." Xander said and shook his head in disappointment.

"Shut up." I replied as everyone went to go and grab a weapon.
