"Is Kristina awake yet?" Romeo called over his shoulder as he drove the plan.
"You've been asking that for the past hour! Calm down. Even if she's dead, at least she died in glory. Ish." Kalani said with her hand over her eyes blocking out the sunlight.
"I'm actually awake, and in pain. Thank you." Kristina said with her eyes squeezed shut.
"Kristina!" Ethan exclaimed and moved closed to her. Kristina glanced at her shin. It was wrapped in white material. The bullet was next to her foot, covered in dried blood.
"Who touched my shin?" Kristina asked calmly. The jet went quiet. Everyone suspected Kristina would get mad that they didn't let her do it.
"Well I kinda took the-" Ethan started. Kristina hugged him and whispered a thank you. Her shin hurt, but she could handle it. She moved it over the seat, and the wound opened up pouring blood.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit." Kristina cursed. "Ethan, do something! It hurts."
"Kristina, just take deep breaths!" Romeo called to Kristina. He looked over his shoulder, but quickly looked back.
"It's a bullet, I'm not giving labor." Kristina gripped at the seat turning her knuckles and fingers white. Ethan looked at Kristina. She didn't look so good. Her skin was a grayish color instead of its usually paleness. Her face was contorted in pain.
"How's Kristina doing?" A voice came through the radio. Kristina recognized it to be Kayden. Before she blacked out she heard him call her his sister. Then she remembered how horrible she was to Xander. He was only being protective.
"I'm withering in pain!" Kristina yelled.
Ethan rolled his eyes as he tied a cloth just above Kristina's wound. "SHIT THIS HURTS!" Kristina screamed as she muttered curses under her breath. "Ethan, I hate you." Kristina said breathing deeply.
"Dotson? You okay?" Katia's voice came through the radio.
Kristina breathed deeply. Time to put on a show. "Yeah, I'm fine. Doesn't even hurt."
"She's-" Romeo was about to tell Katia Kristina was lying, until something hit him in the back of the head. "Never mind."
"Okay, I'll talk to you later Kristina, bye." Katia said as the radio clicked off. Ethan looked at Kristina again. She looked down at him and patted his shoulder.
"I'll be fine." She convinced herself. Ethan quickly wrapped the wound in a new cloth, and took a seat.

"You think she's okay?" Kayden asked Xander. Xander just threw him a confused look. Kayden didn't strike him as the caring type.
"What?" Kayden asked turning defensive.
"No offense man, but you never did strike me as the worrying, caring, or loving type." Xander told him. He wondered why Kayden had suddenly turned so caring. Maybe it was Kristina injured that snapped him back to reality.
"I care, love, and worry about myself!" Kayden said sarcastically. "Look I just don't want to talk about it." Kayden replied at last.
"I understand." Xander replied. Kayden seemed to be really stressing though. It was against his character to do that. He decided to ignore it, and hope for him to go back to his old self.
"What about your father? Are you okay?" Kayden asked.
"What about it?" Xander asked coldly.
"Well you seem to be handling everything really well. I mean, you're being really mean right now, but still. Then, after Kristina said she hated you I expected-" Kayden started before Xander cut him off sounding panicked.
"How did you hear that?" Xander scooted slightly away.
"I was at the doorway though I don't believe you noticed me until I revealed myself. Though you looked rather hurt when she said that she hated you." Kayden pointed out.
"Look I'm haven't passed your lines of comfort, so take a step back please." Xander said as he turned out the window.
"Whatever man." Kayden said finally as he looked at himself in the mirror.

"Katia listen to me! What Kristina did, well that's what she always does. Calm down and think about someone you love that isn't Kristina." Elizabeth advised Katia.
"Okay, okay." Katia let her thoughts drift. She thought of Romeo, then Elizabeth, then Gaby, and then her little sister, Kenya. She took a couple deep breaths and turned back to Elizabeth.
"Better?" Katia nodded in response to Elizabeth's question.
"Good. The worst kind of Katia is a whiny Katia. Now, are you hungry?" Elizabeth asked.  She took out two pieces of bread and handed Katia one. She took out a nutrition bar and handed it to Katia.
"Thanks." Katia mumbled.
"You still haven't gotten over it have you?" Elizabeth asked frustratingly.
"No." Katia admitted. "You can hardly blame me! I mean we haven't talked much me and Kris in this Apocalypse, but I mean we are friends. I should've moved or something."
"Kristina wouldn't have jumped in front of you if she believed you didn't need her." Elizabeth argued.
"Okay! Okay! You can't tell anyone we had this talk." Katia sighed.
Elizabeth didn't see what was wrong with their talk. It was basically one friend worrying about another friend who was worried about a wounded friend. Not much, but she would swear anyway.
"Okay I swear." Elizabeth said and sighed.
"No you have to tell me a secret. I'll tell you one after, but this is the only way I can be sure." Katia said frantically.
Elizabeth's mind filled with secrets. Many secrets. She loved Katia, but this was...was just no. She started to panic, no there had to be another way. "Katia, I-"
"I'll go first." Katia met Elizabeth halfway. Elizabeth shook her head a little. "What do you want to know?"
"I don't care just get it over with." Elizabeth said. The quicker the better, like pulling of a band aid.
"Okay, when I was sitting out in the fields. There was a little tiny pond, but very deep. I saw a Z, and got scared. I didn't know what was happening. I thought that maybe all those nights of not sleeping and watching Netflix were catching up to me. Until, it started to chase me. I backed up and fell into the pond, almost chocked to death. Point is, I knew before Kristina and you came to pick me up." Katia admitted. Elizabeth thought this over. So Katia lied. She wouldn't go to us if we didn't go to her, but maybe she did think she was crazy. It doesn't matter. We're all here now.
"Okay. Let me think of my secret." Elizabeth really only had one secret. She never told anybody. "I like-
