Zombie Apocalypse

Chapter Six

I entered the bathroom and surprisingly saw Katia and another boy there. I was immediately confused. Elizabeth was left abandoned on a stool clutching her head. She looked better than she is on the floor, so I decided to address the other problem first.
"Okay I'm calling this restroom to order!" I said while clapping my hands above my head. The whole room stared at me with a look of confusion on thier faces.
"Who are you?" I said pointing at the boy who was talking to Xander and Katia.
"Romeo, ma'am" he said and looked at me directly.
I smiled at this. Shakespeare being one of my favorite persons ever.
"Okay how did you come to get here?" I asked and he gave me a full response of how he met Katia. I was very puzzeled by the pin, and although I wanted to ask about it a got a hunch that I shouldn't.
"Okay. Well we have two people to get acquainted and say goodbye to before we leave. That would be Jax and Romeo sadly, so if we would hurry-"
"Hey! Why can't we stay? Huh?" Jax interrupted suddenly.
"Excuse me?" I said shocked. I didn't want to rude to them, or leave them but I didn't want to get mauled by Z's either. The Romeo guy was nice, and as far as I was concerned pretty cool. Jax had all these cool things, and I desperately wanted to meet him but there just wasn't enough time.
"Excuse me fair maiden, but what my rather hotheaded comrade meant was that we both wished to accompany you on your journey. We are rather prepared as well." Romeo said stepping forward.
Hm..I don't know, I think to myself. Better ask the group.
"Meeting." I said as the group walked to one side of the room. Jax and Romeo drifted to the other side of the room and talked to each other in whispers.
"Why can't they come with us?!" Xander burst out immediately.
"What if they just slow us down?" Katia proposed acting as the voice of reason.
"I proved I was worthy..." Ash mumbled although everyone heard it.
"And we all saw how that went." Gaby said throwing me a look.
"Listen we will take a vote. If there is a tie we will flip a coin." I suggested and got up.
"No offense but that is the stupidest idea I have ever heard." Xander said placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Got a better idea?" I said angrily while I shrugged his hand off my shoulder. He stayed silent, and I pulled Elizabeth and Katia towards me.
"Was it really that stupid?" I asked.
"No, even if it was no one could come up with a better idea." Katia said as Elizabeth shrugged her shoulders not liking to pick sides.
"Okay, voting in commence!" I said and pulled out a sheet of paper from the back pocket of my jeans.
"Everyone do NOT write you names. Just write stay or leave. Write stay if you think romeo and Jax should stay. Write leave if you think they should leave. Simple." I say and pass out pieces of paper. I quickly ran out and grabbed a pen from another room. Everyone quickly wrote out their answers and I counted the votes.
I found that it was a tie. I walked up to Gaby.
"I hate you." I said and faced Xander, Ash, and Gaby,"Pick a representative."
I went back to Katia and Elizabeth and they told me to be the representative. I headed toward the middle of the room to find Xander.
"Ready fake sorceress?" Xander asked me with a challenging look on his face. It made me want to smack the shit out of him, but of course I remained calm and focused on flipping the coin.
"I call tails." I said.
"Heads." Xander replied and stared at the coin.
I flipped the coin and stepper back to let it fall onto the floor. Xander peered at it and his face shower panic. I smirked knowing that I won. Xander ran up to the coin that was inches from falling to the ground, and caught it on the back of his shoe. He sent the coin back into the air with a jerking motion of his leg. It hit the ground and Xander peered at it. If course, it was heads. He looked up ad smiled at me quite smugly.
"And now we see that-" he began. I smacked him across the face.
"Now that is a really bad girl." Xander replied after he came over the initial shock.
"You know what fuck you! You cheated! You're... you're the scum of the earth!" I yelled and ran out of the room sick with worry.

Xander's P.O.V-
Oh no, what have I done, I think to myself and brush my hand through my hair as Kristina runs out of the room.
"Dude, when I said represent us and make sure we win I didn't mean to cheat." Ash says approaching Xander along with Gaby.
"Fat load of good that does me now!" I yelled in frustration.
"Uh...is she always like that because I would've rather stayed out of this if she was." Jax said approaching with Romeo.
"She is not always like that we is just having a tough time I think." Elizabeth said approaching with Katia.
"Hopefully we don't do anymore votes." Katia said.
"Well someone should go look for her." Gaby said.
"I'll go." Xander said raking his hand through his hair once again.
"Me too." Katia and Romeo said in unison.
The three left out the door leaving four in the room.

"So....." Jax said.
"You know this is partly your fault." Elizabeth said.
"Hey just because little girl goes crying because she lost doesn't mean I have anything to do with it." Jax replied putting his hands out in front of him.
"She's probably worried how the hell she is going to feed and take care of eight people in an apocalypse." Elizabeth said.
"Well no one said she was in charge, and she had to worry about everyone else." Gaby said and crossed her arms.
"What did you do with her?" Elizabeth asked Ash.
Ash shrugged and claimed that he just barely met Gaby and she was the same girl he meet originally.
They all stayed quiet till they heard a shriek coming from down the hall.
"Stay here." Ash said and took of down the hallway before anyone could say anything.
The four dwindled down to three, and after a long backward silence they heard pounding of footsteps. The all got to their feet as a zombie ran through the door.
"Z!!!!!!" Elizabeth screamed remembering Jax and his trap. Elizabeth had developed a paranoia. She clasped her mouth with her hand and ran as fast as she could out of the room.
The three dwindled down to only two. Ash's hands flew to his pockets as he searched for a weapon, but he didn't find one. The Z seemed stalled as it was sniffing the air like a dog. Its face turned to Gaby. The Z looked confused before it broke into a run towards Gaby. Ash threw himself in the way and stuck his hands out in front of him. The Z snapped at Ash while Gsby tried to stay behind Ash. A low rumble came from the back of the Z's throat. It started to form words.
"Got get girl." the Z said as if were physically painful to talk.
Gaby's eyes widened in horror. Katia had her watch the Walking Dead and she hadn't seen one of the zombie talk yet.
Gaby sneaked out under Ash and whispered to him to distract the Z.
Gaby looked around for a weapon, but only found an empty jug of bleach. She ran out with it and stopped near the Z.
"Ash! Move!" Gaby called out. Ash moved out from under the zombie, and Gaby hit the Z multiple timed with the now dented jug of bleach.
"Whooooo!" Gaby and Ash yelled in victory and high fived. Ash and Gaby hugged, so glad to still be alive. The locked themselves in one stall, and figured that they could kick Z's the tried to crawl under.
