"Kristina?!" Xander rushed to Kristina.
"Stop! Everyone back away!" James rushed to Kristina. He wondered why he didn't notice the scent of tacky blood whenever she had arrived.
"Is she..." Romeo asked hopefully. He wanted to reach out, but James and Ethan guarded her like knights.
"I don't think so." James presses his hand against her stomach. He felt it rising steadily, so he just tore off a piece of his shirt. He soaked it in his water, then he slowly began scrubbing off the blood from Kristina's arm. The scratches and bruises started appearing.
"Guys...um...can anyone carry Kristina?" Romeo asked. They only had two more days, and they needed to get going.
"I can." Xander, Jax, and Kayden offered. James just continued to scrub away the blood.
"Jax, you can carry her. Keep up." Romeo advised. He scratched his head. The bruises on Kristina's left arm alone where really bad. Romeo knew she would protest to walk herself, but until James had properly checked her he couldn't risk it.
"Romeo, um....I think she had a broken ankle. I mean we can force the bone back because it's not shattered, but it will hurt." James looked up at the leader of their group.
Katia shifted nervously. Kristina did well with pain, but she didn't think any human could take this amount layering up.
"Later. Now we need to go." Romeo grabbed Scrap. He handed the puppy to Kayden. "Line up!" Romeo screamed out like a frustrated teacher.
Jax walked over to Kristina and picked her up in his arms like a bride. He stared into her unresponsive face. He propped her head on his shoulder and set out to follow the group.

"Fuck!" Kristina thrashed and tore herself out of Jax's grip. She landed on the floor with a wince. She held up her hand for silence and waited for the pain to pass.
Jax lifted her up again, and this time Kristina just laid her head down. She had a major headache, but she didn't want to sleep again. She kept having nightmares, and she was never one to forget her dreams.
"You okay?" Ethan sped up beside Jax.
"I'm fine, Ethan." Kristina stroked his face with her shoe."Ew." Ethan brushed off the side of his face Kristina shoe had touched. Kristina let out a chuckle.
"Kristina, you ankle needs to be set. It'll hurt as we try, but afterwards all the pain goes away." James told her in the silence.
"Okay, can we do it now?" Kristina sighed. She knew what the answer would be, but she had to try.
"No." Romeo said firmly.
"Kati?" Kristina whispered. Katia came beside Jax, and Kristina hugged her as best she could.
"You're not dying, Dotson." Kayden sighed. He pet Scrap and started to walk backwards.
"I could be!" Kristina yelled at him defensively. She curled into Jax as Xander gave her a pensive stare. Xander had something he needed to straighten out.
"Kristina?" Xander asked finally.
Kristina felt his eyes starring at her back. She felt a slight unease in her stomach. She pounded her head against Jax's chest in frustration. He didn't seem to mind. "Yes?"
