Gaby's group-
"So where do we go?" Jax asked as they headed out. Jax leaned on the truck, as Katia contemplated the pros and cons of betraying Kristina. Kalani stood beside Gaby examining her nails.
"Uh...well first we need to take some bags out of the car to carry the stuff." Katia answered.
"Okay, is it open?" Gaby asked. She tugged at the door and it swung open.
"Yeah, I opened it when I woke up from being knocked out by a certain somebody." Kalani answered throwing a glare at Jax.
"I said I was sorry. Plus, you deserved it." Jax replied.
"Oh, did I?" Kalani replied.
"GUYS I FOUND SOMETHING!" Gaby yelled from inside the car.
"Is it a bag, because we knew some were already in there?" Katia asked worryingly. She just wanted to get out of Camille's place. It gave her the creeps.
"No!" Gaby replied.
Katia rolled her eyes and entered the car. Kalani and Jax followed after her. Katia and Kalani scrambled to the back as Jax stayed near the front to guard the entrance.
"Look! Its a safe with a tag!" Gaby exclaimed. She clutched an actual iron safe in her lap. She was squinting at the tag that dangled from it.
"What does the tag say?" Katia asked.
"Uh...it says 'Property of Kristina. Don't bother asking me questions, and please put the safe in its proper place.'" Gaby recited.
Kalani's face lit up. The first time she actually looked happy. Katia had a feeling they weren't going anywhere anytime soon.
"Come on guys just put it back. She said please." Katia placed her palms underneath her thighs.
"No way! This could have serious information! That is what we need, right?" Kalani turned to Gaby.
"Right." Gaby said brightly. She handed the heavy safe to Kalani.
"I'll just pick the lock and were in." Kalani said happily. She brought a bobby pin out of her hair and set to work.
"Gabs we need to go and find the flashlights, batteries, and canned food." Katia said firmly. She had a feeling that wasn't an ordinary safe. She didn't want to get in trouble with Kristina.
"Okay then. Kristina said no groups smaller than two. You and Jax find the stuff, and Kalani and I will open the safe. No problem." Gaby said with ease.
Katia figures it was too late to save Gaby from the bad side. She decided she could only save herself. She noticed Gaby and Kalani's growing friendship. She just hoped Gaby could climb out and save herself when it came down hard. Gaby pulled out a Twinkie from her pocket. Just another sign of Kalani's and Gaby's friendship mocking Katia.
Katia sighed and left to go and inform Jax about the change of plans.Elizabeth's group-
Uh...why did Kristina leave me with the gay couple? I already hate them both. Hm....I could kill Devin and Nathan and blame it on the zombies. No one would ever know. Elizabeth was savoring the thought until the voice of Devin cut into her thoughts.
"Why do all the girls hate me, Elizabeth?" Devin asked. Nathan and Devin both looked at Elizabeth with eager expressions. Elizabeth sighed. Why not tell the two shitheads why we hate them?
"Well Gaby doesn't like you because of what you did to her I.D. I don't like you because you almost broke my nose with the tennis gate. Katia just doesn't really know you. Also, Gaby doesn't really like to talk to you because back in the seventh grade she said all you talked about was Kristina." Elizabeth spilled it all out to Devin. Devin seemed to redden at the last part. He looked cautiously at Nathan.
"WHAT!? You like Kristina? How could you do that to me!? You know how I don't like her!" Nathan complained. Elizabeth almost wished she hadn't said anything, but the look on Devin's face was priceless. Pure mortification. Elizabeth smiled ad the two argued.
They all walked into a thrift store.Kristina's group-
"If you won't tell me then fine. At least be honest." Kristina replied. Obviously the meeting wasn't about nothing.
"Fair lady, its just that-" Romeo started.
"One, it's Kristina. Two, I sincerely hate you Romeo. Three, no explanation is going to solve that you're clearly lying to me." Kristina said harshly.
They roamed the streets getting gas. Kristina drove the black truck stopping every so often to collect as much gas as they could.
"I'm sorry, Kristina." Romeo said before looking down to stare at his shoes.
Kristina would've felt guilty if she could feel guilty to begin with. Plus, if Romeo was hiding something he would've got in trouble either way. She hated getting mad at him, because he really took it to heart, but oh well.
"Kris, there's no reason to get so mad at Romeo. He hasn't done anything wrong." Xander stated. Romeo actually didn't do anything. He distinctly said he wouldn't betray Kristina and get information out of her.
"For the last time, stop calling me Kris." Kristina growled. When people said Kris it sounded exactly like Chris. She really didn't need reminders of how many sibling either hate her(Krystal), betrayed her(Ash), or are dead(Chris).
"Why?" Xander asked. At that moment she hated Xander to her core. She cried while he comforted her about her brother. Jax witnessed it and he still doesn't remember.
"CHRISTOPHER FUCKING SCOTT DOTSON!" Kristina yelled at him. She stopped the car.
"You know you're being a major ass. Next time I tell you not to call me something just don't call me it." Kristina whispered. She rested her head on the wheel.
"Your brothers middle name is fucking?" Romeo asked curiously.
It sounded so sincere that Kristina burst out laughing. Finally, she wiped a tear from her eye.
"Oh Romeo. How I love you so." Kristina mumbled. Of course, she didn't love Romeo, but at times like these it was nice to have him there. Kristina's phone began to vibrate in her pocket. She pulled it out.
"Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!" The phone yelled out.
A picture of Gaby and Kalani looking into the empty safe appeared on her screen.
"There's nothing in here." Kalani complained.
"Wow to think you wasted all that time trying to open it Kalani." Gaby laughed.
"So...What are you doing with my safe exactly Gaby?" Kristina said into her phone.Katia and Jax-
"I can't believe they ditched us for a stupid safe!" Katia said frustratingly.
"Don't worry about it. They'll probably just end up getting in trouble with Kristina once they get caught." Jax reassured Katia.
They walked back to Camille's place. Jax carried six bags. One filled with all kinds of batteries. Another filled with ten flashlights, and the rest filled with canned food.
Katia carried a box with an Xbox one inside it, and a bag filled with candy and bags of chips.
"Yeah but its still wrong." Katia countered.
"What's wrong? That they ditched us, or that they tried to open the safe?" Jax asked curiously.
"Who do you like better Kalani or Elizabeth?" Katia asked changing the subject. Katia just choose a name at random.
"Why?" Jax asks startled.
"Just asking." Katia kicked a rock.
"Well, if Kalani were family I'd have to say her, but technically she's not. So I guess Elizabeth."
"Why?"
"Well, Kalani's a pain. Elizabeth's not. What else do you want to know?" Jax asked.
Katia and Jax spent the rest of the walk asking each other who they liked better and why.Gaby and Kalani-
"So...what exactly are you doing with my safe, Gaby?" Kristina's voice echoed from the box.
"Uh....nothing. It was all Kalani!" Gaby screamed.
"Since when did you have a safe?" Gaby heard Xander faintly.
"Shut up. I'm trying to handle something." Kristina replied harshly.
Kalani and Gaby stared at each other and then at the safe. Nothing much came out of opening it. Plus, all Gaby did was sit there and watch. How was she in trouble?
"You betrayer." Kalani hissed.
"What?! We're both getting in trouble anyways! That's how Kristina is." Gaby replied.
"Really, am I Gaby? Now you're both grounded." Kristina interrupted.
"You're not my mom!" Gaby shrieked.
"Technically, I am." Kristina replied remembering seventh grade and her many, although fake, children.
"You birthed Gaby?" Romeo asked.
"It's a long story. Now shut up I'm supposed to be hating you right now. Also, Xander you're grounded." Kristina added.
Gaby snickered. At least she'd have someone to talk to.
"Gaby and Kalani get back to Camille's place." Kristina prepared to shut off her phone.
"We are at Camille's place." Gaby and Kalani said glumly.
"Then stay there!" Kristina barked and ended their discussion.
"Look what you did now we are both in trouble!" Gaby shouted.
"Whatever. It doesn't matter. She'll probably send us to a corner and tell us to think about what we've done." Kalani said as she and Gaby climbed out of the car.
"She said grounded not cornered." Gaby replied as they made their way into the house.Jax and Katia reached home, as Kristina pulled the black truck into the driveway. Xander and Romeo sat in the back of the truck. They jumped out as Kristina shut off the engine.
"Guys! Kristina grounded-" Xander began.
"Katia! Why did you let Gaby and Kalani break into the safe?" Kristina asked. Kristina's eyes drifted to the Xbox. She thought of the Call of Duty game that belonged to her brother.
"You're forgiven." Kristina said before Katia could answer. She grabbed the box and turned to Jax. "Go ahead. What's your excuse?" Kristina asked sounding bored.
"Well, I was guarding the truck. Katia told me there had been a change of plans, so I just followed her." Jax replied. He pulled out a Cookies and Cream Hershey's bar and tossed it on top of the box Kristina was holding.
"You're forgiven. Gaby and Kalani are grounded. Along with Xander." Kristina briefly notified them and went inside. Romeo followed behind her.
Jax burst out laughing.
"She grounded you?" Katia asked chuckling.
"Yep, I'm also staying I'm the basement." Xander said and shrugged.
"Doesn't sound so bad." Katia admitted.
"I have to clean up the mess to Zs made." Xander added.
"Sucker!" Jax and Katia yelled happily and ran inside.
Xander chuckled and followed after them.
