"My mother had four children. Two boys and two girls." Kristina started.
"I don't see how this is important to the story." Kalani complained. She had been in a rather grouchy mood since Gaby betrayed her. She had woken up a couple minutes ago just in time for the story.
"I know you weren't here when I said no interruptions, but NO INTERRUPTIONS!" Kristina snapped at Kalani. She wanted to get this done and over with.
Kalani grunted and went back to messing with a strand of her tangled hair.
"Either way, Ash and Christopher were both my brothers. Krystal was my sister. One day, Krystal got the news that our grandmother might die. Krystal loved her so much that she set out to create something that could bring people back to life. She was just a small little thing, and naturally she needed help. Ash loved her, because one she was his sister, and two she was the baby of the family. I was convinced that once, if, our grandmother died Krystal would give up and snap back to reality. I didn't help her and she hated me for that. She started to ignore me and such, so I ran away. I ran to my fathers house. From there I picked the lock, and went inside. I looked for my aunt Persephone. She liked Ash better, so I twisted a tale. I told her that Krystal and Ash were trying to make the undead live. Like me she thought it was merely a older brother entertaining a younger sibling, but she also thought it was a good thing. I told her that Krystal now hated me, because I refused to help. She told me it was simply a grudge. Then, she asked me how I got inside the house, and why I was in San Antonio, so I ran, again." Kristina was about to continue when Romeo interrupted her.
"Wait, so your mom and dad-" Romeo started to ask.
"That's an interruption, whoever interrupts me next will be hung up on that tree." Kristina said. She pointed to the tree she was bound by rope with awaiting her trail.
"Either way, I ran to a friend I knew in San Antonio and crashed at her place. I had already installed cameras hidden in the room Krystal was working. I discovered that Ash was working on the "cure" as well. They needed a test subject once they got it right. They just found some worm and gave it a virus. Christopher worked with them. I know why, but that's not really your business."
"What?! That's like saying 'I have chips, but you can't have any'! Kristina you swore you would-" Katia started to protest.
"One, interruption. Two, I didn't swear anything. I'm only telling you this, because you asked. Do you want me to hang you on the tree by your ankles?" Kristina stared at Katia with a feigned innocence. Katia simply bunched up her hands and remained silent.
"I spied on them. I had my friend drive me to my mother's house. I went inside the room where they had their experiment. Ash came inside and asked me what I was doing. I said, 'nothing'. A couple days later they were ready. I went to dissuade my brother, and asked him to sabotage the experiment. I told him that if it didn't work something would bad was going to happen, but he was broken already. He told me he had sleepless nights, and he worried about our grandmothers health. He said he was doing it for her. That day my grandmother died. My brother was as broken as shattered glass. He was depressed and delirious. I tried to dissuade him again, but Ash and Krystal pried me from him and dragged me to a room. Ash ran on jealousy, and Krystal on hatred for my lack of cooperation. They both fought me as I fought to get out. Yet, it was in vain. Ash was older. Krystal grabbed me, and Ash quickly overpowered me and tied me to the bed. It was a bunk bed. Big and heavy. I was left there useless. Weak. My shouts heard by no one except Krystal and Ash. My parent and every other adult left to the hospital. Krystal and Ash came to give me the news. It didn't work, but everyone was fine. While, we were talking Ash untied me and led me to the experiment room. He told me they were going to try again soon. I was about to tell him there was no use, but the lab exploded. All of us were in there. I thought we were all safe, but my brother must've gotten punctured or something. Ash felt so sure it was his fault that he went to a hypnotist and told him to wipe memories of him from everyone he knew. The hypnotist tried on Krystal and Christopher and succeeded. I was the failure along with Persephone that made him stop. Either way, Ash fled to the base. Me and Chris were in the forest and my brother turned. I killed him with a metal pole. By that time my sister didn't hate me, so she let me get out of the house. I got Elizabeth, Katia, and Gaby. The rest you know." Kristina finished.
"Does anyone else know about this?" Katia asked.
"Like I said memories wiped." Kristina repeated.
"There's something she's not telling us. I can see it in the way she looks." Kalani said looking Kristina up and down. Kristina wore everything in black. It was fighting gear her brother had when he used to do stuff that required it. She never asked why.
"We know enough. We need a new leader. Kristina can hand down her leadership to someone she chooses. Until then, we have to deliberate." Katia said with a sigh. She didn't want to do anything right now. She had a major headache, was hungry, and tired.
"Tie her." Katia said and waved a limp hand at Kristina. Kristina jumped up, kicked out at Xander, and ran like her life depended on it. Xander felt the wind being knocked out of him. He regained his breath, and looked at Katia for directions.
"She'll come back." Katia said not even believing herself.
"Hopefully." Elizabeth muttered.
"Not." Jax followed. Elizabeth elbowed him in the ribs.
"I for one hope she doesn't come back. She's nothing but trouble. If she knew all this and didn't want help why didn't she do it all on her own?" Kalani asked. She hated everyone at the moment. She always had till Gaby came. Then, she betrayed her proving she clearly couldn't trust anyone. Not even Jax, her adopted brother, who knocked her out. The only reason she hated Kristina was because she was everything she wanted to be. In control, strong, saving the day, smart, and now she hated her more because when she looked at her she saw herself.
"Okay, the only questions I have are what do we do with Kristina, and do we believe her?" Katia asked.
"We should keep her prisoner. Two, why would she lie. She sounded honest enough to me." Romeo said.
"Your vote doesn't count. You're the one who vouched for her." Kalani pointed out. She made a good point, so Katia sadly nodded her head in agreement.
"I agree with Romeo." Xander spoke. Kalani looked at him. She didn't like Romeo's answer, so she didn't like Xander's either. She figured out a way to make his vote not count.
"He shouldn't vote either. He likes the demon." Kalani said stiffly.
"One, if anything she's more like a faerie not a demon." Katia pointed out. If Kalani was going to be mean she might as well be realistic.
"Two, Xander doesn't like her. Right, Xander?" Jax turned to Xander. Suddenly, everyone's gaze shifted to him.
He just stared back.
"Of course not. She lied to us." Xander said. He wondered if the movement of leaves behind him was imagined or real.
"Well then. She's to be imprisoned, and she'll hand down leadership to whomever she chooses." Katia decided.
"Don't the rest of us get to vote?" Kalani asked desperately.
"The problem is you're the only one that doesn't agree." Katia said and shrugged. She jumped off the stump she was standing on. Kalani scowled, but let the topic drop.

Kristina wondered around aimlessly through the forest. Though not to far. She could still here the voices of her group deciding what to do with her. She felt like such a pawn. Used.
There wasn't anything she could do about it. She felt detached in a strange way. Like nothing mattered anymore. She felt like she was looking at herself do things rather than doing them. Even pain didn't feel real anymore. She punched a tree just to make sure. Yep, nothing. Not even a sting. She sighed and went back to the group.
"Two, Xander doesn't like her. Right, Xander?" Jax asked. Kristina hadn't really been listening. Now that she was she wished she hadn't been. It bothered her.
"Of course not. She lied to us." Xander replied. Kristina moved the leaves with her feet to let him know she was there. She felt that if he could say that he didn't have a problem with her hearing it. She waited two minutes and then stepped out of her cover. She moved past Xander barely giving him a thought.

"Kristina, we need you to make an important discission and hand down your leadership. I know you might want time to decide, so-" Katia began explaining.
"Romeo." Kristina said like she didn't care. She saw the look on Katia's face. Surprise. Katia quickly masked it and was about to talk when she got interrupted.
"Should I be offended, I mean why would you choose Romeo?" Devin asked. Nathan nodded him agreement.
"Nathan hasn't fought a single battle. Devin I don't think you can lead the team. Kalani doesn't like me. Romeo vouched for me. All lines lead to him." Kristina said placidly.
"And us?" Katia, Xander, Elizabeth, and Jax chorused.
"I would say, but I would rather keep that to myself. Now if you're going to tie me or something can you hurry?" Kristina asked.
"Actually, we're going to find proper shelter. If that's okay with you, Romeo." Katia said. She looked back at her new leader.
"Yeah, I don't think its a good idea to sleep in a Z infested forest anyway." Romeo replied. He walked his way to the front, and turned back to look at everyone. It would be as little storage to have Romeo as a new leader, Elizabeth thought. He's the kinda guy teachers look at and think 'oh he won't be any trouble.'
They all paused and just looked at each other. Kristina uncomfortable with the silence ran. She ran out of the forest. She happened to be doing that a lot lately. Running.
"Wait, wasn't she the one that knew this forest?" Kati asked.
"Yep, and now we're screwed." Romeo admitted. He followed Kristina as best as he could.
