Kristina finished the bags, and neatly layer them next to the person the belonged to at night. She found her own new personal blanket and pillow and layer down on it. She couldn't find peace, and needed something to punch. She went to the gym.
She walked there silently, and thanks to her brother and his strict lecturing and training no one heard her.
She saw lights on in the gym. The door was open a crack, and she heard voices.
"Yeah, but don't you get tired?" A girl voice asked. Kristina peeked and saw Elizabeth. She didn't even bother to check if everyone was at the entrance, and now she felt stupid.
"No, it was pretty nice actually. I mean sure that happened every once in a while, but I could deal with it." A guy said. Judging that Elizabeth was there I assumed it was Jax.
It was crazy because every girl just drifted off to one of the guys. I mean I don't like Xander, and I didn't drift off to him. He drifted to me. I can't keep conversing with myself I have to move.
Kristina sniffed the air, and smelled sweat. From that she assumed that Jax would be at one of the equipment things. She heard Jax say how he couldn't sleep, because of bad dreams and thoughts. From that she pinpointed his location and moved quietly inside. She ducked behind a cabinet, and settled down onto her knees.
"Me too. I couldn't stop thinking about what we were going to do. I mean its not like we're going to be magically handed the cure. Chance is no one has one!" Elizabeth said.
"True, but I guess me just have to hang on and see what time brings us." Jax replied and hit a punching bag.
"Well we should get going. If we don't sleep we won't be able to wake up, move, and fake that we slept." Jax said ticking off this things on his fingers.
"Okay then. I'll catch up with you." Elizabeth said.
"Okay take care of yourself, and be careful." Jax said and walked out the door.
After a couple minutes Elizabeth walked over to a treadmill. She pressed start and started to run. She cranked up the speed, and ran and ran.
Kristina wondered how the treadmill would work if they're underground. She had to ask Ash or something.
Finally, Elizabeth tired out. She was sweating a lot, and she looked like she was about to pass out. She just turned off the machine, and hovered at the entrance.
"Sis, if you're out there. I hope you are well. I miss you." Elizabeth said. She walked out the door.
Kristina came out from her hiding place, and turned on the treadmill. She started to run.
"What are you doing madam?" Romeo asked from the doorway.
"Ah!" Kristina said out of shock. She tripped on the treadmill and crashed down. One side of her face got burned by the treadmill leaving a mark straight down the left side if her face. Karma's a bitch, Kristina thought. The treadmill pushed Kristina off making her feel like a rejected dollar in a snack machine.
"Oh I didn't mean to frighten you! Are you okay?" Romeo said and rushed towards Kristina.
Romeo lightly touched Kristina's face. Kristina winced and smacked his hand. He reached out and turned Kristina's face. Kristina figured he was going to see it eventually so she sat down on the floor and waited.
"Am I interrupting something?" Xander asked from the doorway.
Kristina jumped back from Romeo and his hand brushed her face.
Kristina winced again.
"No, you're not. Nothing at all romantic happened. Romeo came in and startled me that's all." I blurted out like I was talking to a parent.
"And then he grabbed your face. Makes perfect sense." Xander said sarcastically.
"Xander I didn't do anything with the girl. I promise." Romeo said.
"The girl has a name." Kristina said and pushed around him. Kristina turned her face to the left side.
Xander cane forward and looked at it. Now it was just a cut and redness surrounding it.
"Are you okay?" Xander asked and grabbed one side of her face.
"And then he grabbed your face. Makes perfect sense." Kristina replied.
"Well you could take her to the ice room, and there is some nurses supplies you could also grab. If she would want to go." Romeo said and made his way for the door.
Elizabeth entered, and had a stunned expression on her face.
"Just came for.....this" Elizabeth said faintly and grabbed a pin of the treadmill. She glanced at Kristina.
"I'll explain later." Kristina said breaking the silence.
"She said." Elizabeth replied.
"We will!" The three screamed.
"They said." Elizabeth replied with a smile. She walked out the door with the pin in her hand.
"Come on." Xander said and grabbed Kristina's wrist. They went to the ice room, which was basically a room that produced ice. Xander grabbed kristina a pack and put a towel around it.
"Here." Xander said and tossed it to her.
"Thanks." Kristina mumbled.
"Nice to be helping, and not helped by the ever independent Kristina." Xander said.
"Mean much." Kristina said and threw Xander a glare.
"I know." Xander said and smiled.
Then they went out of the room, and traveled down the hallway.
"So did you have a family?" Xander asked.
"Well duh... I had a sister and a b-brother." Kristina said. A tear escaped from her. It turned into a stream, and she just couldn't take it anymore.
"My brother..." She whimpered. She had to kill him. She just couldn't stand it. She killed him. Her own damn brother.
"Hey it's okay." Xander said and hugged the crying Kristina.
Memories flooded through her of her brother. The way he adopted her. The way he said she was his favorite, how he had trained her to be the way she is. He was all she had, and her sister of course but her sister still roamed the earth. She cried and cried until a voice broke through.
"What the-" Jax said and turned.
"You're screwed." Xander said.
Kristina broke into a sprint after the body builder. He was faster than he looks, but she caught up to him when they reached everyone else.
His footsteps woke everyone.
"GUYS KRISTINA AND-" Jax started.
"SHUT UP!" Kristina said and punched Jax as hard as she could.
"Ow! Mean much!" Jax barked.
"If you want more keep talking." Kristina said and popped her knuckles for effect.
"Fine." Jax said as Xander, Ash, and Romeo came through the hallway.
Katia and Gaby looked extremely confused. Elizabeth sat back and chuckled.
Ash had gone to the restroom, while Romeo had been in the gym. It was a major coincidence they all came out at the same time.
"So....who's up for breakfast?" Kristina asked half casually and half nervously.
"We need to talk." Gaby and Katia said seriously.
"This should be fun." Elizabeth said as the three stood up, and dragged Kristina to the nearest secluded room.
"Jax make breakfast!" Kristina yelled over her shoulder.
