"Sandhya please!" Anshuman begged, in tears, as he held her wrist tightly. "Please don't leave like this."

He was a wreck. A hysterical one. She hadn't spoken to him properly for months, and now on the day they all had to leave for home, she told him to stay out of her life in a cruel way.

They were outside the dorms and a few people were witnessing this. Anshuman didn't care anymore. He couldn't let her go away from him. He didn't know what happened to her to make her ignore their bond, but he couldn't tolerate it.

"For the sake of our friendship if not -" he sobbed, but he was cut off by Sandhya.

"Stop it Anshuman!" she screamed. "Why don't you understand? Why can't you leave me alone?"

"Because I love you!" he bellowed back, tears falling down his cheeks. "I love you!"

Parvati ran to the scene upon hearing the commotion, and she nearly had a heart attack when she saw that it was Anshuman and Sandhya screaming at each other.

"I don't love you!" Sandhya yelled. "I - I kissed you because you - you're hot. I - I used you! Why don't you understand? I don't love you! Now I'm bored of you!"

"Stop lying!" Anshuman screamed. "Damn it Sandhya! Just stop lying!"

Parvati felt her heart break into pieces when she heard the desperation in Anshuman's voice. She turned to the crowd and glared at them.

"Why are you watching this? It's none of your business!" she snapped. "Go do your work!"

Most of them disappeared, but Parvati stayed there silently, because she knew that Anshuman would need support at the end of all of this.

"Please I beg you. Stop asking me questions. Stop chasing me. I know we were good friends, but I just want to be left alone!" Sandhya shrieked. "Why is personal space too much to ask for?"

Anshuman let go of her completely and reached back to grab the wall for support.

"You - you want personal space? Okay. Fine. I'll - I'll give you personal space. You can take as much personal space as you want," Anshuman said, trying to take deep breaths in between his sobs. "B - but you - you will come back to me. I - I have faith. You - you will come back."

"I will not come back! Stop holding on!" Sandhya yelled. "I didn't want to tell you this, but I have a boyfriend! Just let me be! Let me be happy, leave me alone!"

Parvati watched as Anshuman crumbled onto the ground. Sandhya stormed away from him, leaving Anshuman shaking on the ground, like he was too broken to move a muscle.

Tears in her own eyes, Parvati ran towards him and fell to the ground in front of him.

Anshuman looked up at her slowly, like he was still taking in what happened. Then before she knew what was happening, he had thrown his arms around her, holding her tightly, in a bone crushing hug.

It was like he desperately needed solace.

Parvati wrapped her arms around him too and caressed his hair as he sobbed against her, his tears falling onto her neck.

A few people watched, but neither Anshuman nor Parvati paid any attention to the spectators.

"S - She left me," Anshuman said hoarsely into her shoulder. "S - she always leaves me."

"I came for you," Parvati told him softly, stroking his hair affectionately. "I will always come for you."

Anshuman held on to her more tightly, like a child who had found his mother after being lost beyond repair, without the hope of finding her again. He closed his eyes and allowed her to comfort him... because he felt safe, wanted and loved in her arms.
