After crying on her for a few minutes, Parvati gently pulled Anshuman off and helped him stand up. He fell over, his head tilting towards her. She wrapped her arm around his back and helped him walk into her bedroom. She didn't want anymore commotion out here.

Her roommate already left for the vacation, so they were able to get some privacy. Parvati used one hand to lock the door when they entered, while the other one still gripped the back of his shirt tightly.

Then she walked with him to her bed and placed him down on it gently. She was about to sit on her roommates bed, when he grabbed her arm and pulled her down on the bed next to him. Then he wrapped his arms around her from the side and buried his face in her neck, shivering.

Parvati brought one hand up to his cheek and gently brushed away his tears, as her other hand rested on the nape of his neck.

"When are you going home?" Parvati asked him softly.

"I don't know," Anshuman managed to say. "Do you need to go?"

"No," Parvati replied.

Her mom was expecting her home by the evening, and that would only happen if she left now, but Anshuman needed her more than anyone right now.

Anshuman just quietly held on to her. After a few minutes, she thought she heard him breathe deeply, like he was asleep. Parvati gently lifted his head off her shoulder and placed it down on her pillow, lying him down.

She was about to get up, when he grabbed her arm and pulled her down with such force that she was surprised. She fell on the bed, half on top of him.

Anshuman opened his eyes and wrapped his arms around her tightly from the side, burying his face in her bosom. His action was done with so much innocence, that it didn't even feel wrong. He really was like a little kid right now, who just needed support.

Parvati continued to caress his hair as she held her to him lovingly. Eventually, he did fall asleep, his head on her chest, his tears having stained her dress.

She let her tears fall freely after he slept, feeling internally suffocated. As the tears poured one by one, she continued to caress his hair.

"I don't want to see you this way. I really don't," she whispered. "The pain of seeing you with someone else is much easier to handle than the pain of seeing you hurt. I can't see you hurt."

She smiled sadly. She thought she wanted this. Where Anshuman would open up to her. Where he would hold her. Where he would share his life with her... but now, she didn't want this anymore, if it cost him all of this.

"Maybe it's my fault. Maybe I wished for something like this to happen, and it has," she mused softly, her eyes wet. "I won't wish for you again. I'm sorry."

She didn't want to get his attention at the price of his tears.
