It hurt Parvati more than anything to see the pain kill him, but she couldn't do anything. She was helpless. She had to watch him go through the betrayal. All she did, was lend her shoulder for support, and try to be a friend for him. That day, they exchanged numbers.

That was how their friendship started.

They would meet often over the break and Parvati would watch him laugh. His laughter would bring a warmth to her heart. The two of them didn't talk about the day they kissed, but Parvati had treasured it in her memory as one of the most blissful moments of her life.

One day, they were taking a stroll through the park, when it started to rain hard. Parvati shivered, getting drenched. Her wet black dress clung to her body. She felt Anshuman's gaze on her body, and she turned to look at him. He looked away immediately and she blushed slightly.

Parvati grabbed his hand.

"Let's go," she said, pointing to a tree where they could get shelter.

"Are you crazy?" Anshuman asked her, leading her the complete opposite way. "You want to take shelter under a tree? If it starts lightning?"

"Does it look like it's going to start lightning to you?" Parvati asked, her teeth chattering.

Anshuman nodded and lead her all the way to a tea shop.

The clouds darkened just as they were about to enter, and they heard the sky give off a loud rumbling sound. Parvati grabbed Anshuman's arm and took him inside.

The two of them shivered as they looked outside, waiting for the rain to stop.

Parvati felt Anshuman's eyes on her again, and she turned to look at him again, but once more, he looked away.

It was true her dress had a bit of a low cleavage, and now that her whole dress was wet, it was clinging on to her body at the right places, exposing curves she didn't even know she had.

"Why are you looking at me?" she asked, a bit self-consciously.

"I - I wasn't," he denied.

"Right," she said, and smirked playfully. "You think I'm hot, don't you?"

"No," Anshuman told her, his ears turning red.

"Yeah right," she said, and giggled. "It's okay. You're a man. You're allowed to look at hot girls... but don't be so obvious next time."

"O - obvious?" Anshuman spluttered.

"Yeah. I check out hot guys too. Except I'm not so obvious," she teased, and then dropped her voice to a whisper. "Like look at him. That guy is hot. I think he works out."

"I work out too," Anshuman replied, sounding defensive, and scrutinizing the tall man's body with his eyes.

"I didn't say you didn't," Parvati told him innocently.

"You want me to get his number for you?" Anshuman asked.

Parvati laughed.

"You wouldn't be able to," she teased.

"I can get it. Watch me," he told her, "I'm Anshuman Shenoy. I don't turn my back to challenges."

"Get me his number then," she demanded, a smile on her face.

"Okay... I will..." he told her, and then he looked lost, as if he was confused as to how to do that.

"You won't get it just by standing there," she provoked, playfully.

Anshuman then turned around and approached the man, and she watched him go, completely shocked.

He seriously was going to get another man's number for her!
