Of course. Just when she was about to move on with someone else, her past had to come back in front of her eyes and make her remember what she was leaving behind.

"Anshuman, isn't it so nice to see Parvati here?" Sandhya asked wrapping her hands around his arm and looking up at him. "This is her fiance. She's getting married in three days. So close to our wedding!"

Anshuman just stared at Parvati, his eyes fixated on her, like he didn't know how to look away. She stared at him too, shocked and nervous, but unable to move her eyes.

"Oh yes! I remember you!" Prashant said, looking at Anshuman. "You were the one who took my number for her."

Anshuman looked at him, recognizing the man, and finding this all strange. Why was it that their lives were so closely linked? Why did every small incident seem like it had a bigger meaning?

From Prashant, to that horror movie he watched with Parvati, which foreshadowed that she would face death in order to save her sister, to her friendship, to perhaps even much more.

He was afraid to know what was in store for them next.

"Yes, hey," Anshuman greeted and held his hand out.

Prashant shook it and then wrapped his arm around Parvati. She felt slightly uncomfortable to have Prashant touch her in front of Anshuman, but she tried to keep herself calm.

"We were just shopping," Prashant said. "She wanted to get some clothes."

Sandhya smiled.

"Me too!" she said, sounding happy. "Parvati, Prashant, you'll come to our marriage right? I mean... you might be on a honeymoon... but if you aren't then?"

"Of course," Prashant replied. "We don't have any plans to go on a honeymoon."

"Oh! We're planning to go to the Philippines," Sandhya told them. "We've already booked the flight tickets!"

Parvati smiled at Sandhya. For some reason, it didn't hurt anymore to hear about their romance. Did that mean, she moved on?

Maybe it did.

"That's great," Parvati said, finally finding her voice. "I heard Philippines is beautiful."

"Let's hang out," Sandhya said. "Forget about shopping. Let's just catch up... it's been three years. How quickly time flew by, didn't it?"

Parvati nodded, and with a smile, she said, "Sure."

Anshuman just continued to watch her, and his heart felt light to know that she had moved on with her life.
