"I know of all your intentions now" Marianne just had to step into the room and she had already gained the attention of everybody, including a very strange acting Elijah and an accomplished Hayley. "You had only brought me back so I can be used as a weapon against Tristan"
"Marianne, it isn't like that, really.." Rebekah had heard how awful and low it sounded. It was true, the reason for her resurrection being the inevitable death of Tristan De Martel. But also because she was a key member of their family.
"Please, Rebekah" Marianne interrupted her, a slight hint of pain in her voice "you cannot say that other than Freya's idea to resurrect that witch who almost killed him was not the sole reason you brought me back"
Rebekah sunk back, she did not have any thing to argue against her, she couldn't prove her point because what Rebekah was trying to fight for was false information.
"And I will help you, under my own circumstances" she spoke, trying to summon the confident woman she used to be when people looked up to her, when people envied her, when she was engaged to a Lord. But obviously a few could see right through it, her stutters and constant clearing of her throat gave it all away.
It wasn't because she was nervous, it wasn't because she had lost touch with who she used to be. It was because she knew that the people that bare witnessed to her meltdown yesterday now looked at her completely different. They saw her as unstable, well; in Marianne's mind she thought that's what they saw her as.
"I want to be the one to kill him" she spoke, finally her confidence pushing through. She wanted to make the Mikaelson's think that they didnt know her anymore, she didn't want any emotional ties with them.
Marianne looked to Elijah, who was looking towards Hayley with a grin on his face.
They all had different lives now; lives that had progressed without her. Though she hated that they could go on without her, she knew that Marianne would never actually be a part of their future lives.
She had been gone for so long. Marianne knew there was no way she could just be there, in their lives, like she used to.
Elijah had a new love interest, and who knows how many he has had before? Rebekah has her own friends and family, Niklaus has completely changed to a hybrid with hardly any morals. He even had a child.
And here was Marianne, stuck in her past. Maybe she wanted everything to go back to normal, before Elijah killed her. She longed for the life she lived when they met. In the 10th century, not the 21st.
Marianne stood from her seat as a man she had not seen before walked up to the door.
"Oliver" Klaus greeted, though he was confused as to why he was here.
Marianne felt like she needed to walk up to him; something seemed strange about him.
"I have a message" he called out, a white letter in his hand "for the Mikaelson's"
Oliver didn't waste any time "from Tristan"
The name made Elijah jump from his position and pose himself in the stance to pull Marianne away if he needed to.
But Marianne wasn't the one that needed saving. The werewolf produced a sharp dagger from his pocket and quickly stabbed himself in the neck.
Marianne screamed, she never liked looking at things so gory, and right now, Oliver was still alive, gasping for air but somehow he wouldn't pull the blade out.
"You're in danger" he rasped in Marianne's direction before falling to the floor, the puddle of his own blood growing.
Elijah quickly ran up to the witch; she couldn't stop staring at the body. He took her shoulders and tried to pull her back. But Marianne shook out of his grip and knelt down, taking the piece of paper from his hand.
She stood up and unfolded it, swallowing before reading aloud "For the attention of the Mikaelson siblings" she looked at the calligraphy and then how all eyes were plastered on her again "baring in mind our recent circumstances, I do advise you take my next words into consideration"
"As you all know, the strix and I are planning your death or endless torment where you cannot effect us" she read "but now due a change in events; I am willing to offer you something far beyond what you deserve"
"I will leave your family alone; no longer will they need to bare the burden of having the strix monitor their every move to inevitable die a Painful death" Marianne knew what was coming next, she didn't even have to read it "in exchange for the witch you have in your possessions, alive"
"If you do not comply; we will ascend upon you like the apocalypse; each one of your friends, family and allies will fall, as you have just witnessed" she carried on, even with the ringing down her spine telling her to stop and run. "And eventually, you will fall too, and I will get what I want, so the choice is yours. Give her up, and I will leave with my family, or keep her and face the wrath of us all. Yours truly; Tristan"
Marianne shut the paper and grasped it in both of her hands. Her heart could beat out of her chest and her eyes were permanent widened with shock and fear.
"Tristan no longer wants your heads" she murmured quietly "he just wants mine"

I hope you're enjoying the story so far!!! It's been taking me a while recently to think of story lines that I can actually get into and write a good 50 ish chapters on, but I've started writing another one now which I'll publish near the end of this book!!
I get writers block because I've done so many Elijah story lines aha!!! But I'm fighting through it! (Again sorry for my spelling mistakes, I write on my phone so it always autocorrects)
But yeah, ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!! In a few hours. But I'm classing it as my birthday now! Woo! I'm 19! Last year I had a personalised message from Ed Sheeran and a birthday card, so I'm not getting my hopes up this year for that, it was once in a lifetime! But I am going to London!
