Dear Jasmine,
You are the only one I have noticed in this way. For years, I’ve been trying to ignore it, but I can’t. No matter what I do, you always seem to miraculously barge into my life without even trying or knowing. And although I find you enticing, especially with the unusual darkness of your emerald green eyes, do not believe me to be just anor man stricken by your appearance, digging for the attention that comes with being at your side. I can assure you, that is not my intention in the least.
I highly doubt that, despite my own share of ‘fame’ if you will, that you even know of my existence, but I cannot seem to shake yours. I have tried to move on, to live as a normal man should when he knows someone he wants is outside his reach, but I have proven myself incapable. If you wish to never know of me, who I am, what I could provide for you, then that is fine. In one week, I will send another letter, along with others, but this one in particular will hold an address and a time. If you show up, you will make me the happiest man. If you do not, I understand. Should you give me the chance, I will never do you wrong; I will give you all you need, all you wish.
I will never leave you and I will never allow you harm. I promise.
Jasmine shook as she finished the letter. She clenched it in her hands. Angela had already made an exit, now standing just outside the trailer.
Her lips drew back in a scowl, crumpling the letter in her hands and throwing it into the far wall. She screamed, crossing her arms tightly over her abdomen, holding herself as she fell to her knees on the floor, crumpling so that her forehead touched the linoleum lightly.
Sobs escaped her throat in small, painful gasps. She had no idea why the letter upset her so much, it just did.
Reading those words somehow hurt more than a knife in her chest.
A veil of auburn cut off her view as she stayed curled up into herself on the floor, breath hot against the material. The tears were a burning hot against her eyes, leaving her eyes just that much faster from the screams that came between sobs.
Angel stood there against the wall of the trailer, listening hopelessly to the pain and sorrow exuding from within it’s walls. But there was nothing to be done about it now. The letter had been delivered, another brick slowly slipping from it’s place. Holes were slowly shining through the walls that had been built in the UP, and the past was begging to come back to her.
But if Angel knew one thing, it was that the past hurt. Even more so this time. Especially when so many things had no reasons, but brought so much pain. It was bad enough the first time, but now . . . she had to live it all over again as if it were happening again and she had no idea of the outcome. Angel bit her lip. She knew that Jasmine already knew about her twins. But she still wasn’t sure if Jasmine could decipher what was real or not.
The worst part was knowing that of every awful image Jasmine experience in the night . . . not one of them was her mind playing tricks on her. It was just her mind pushing bricks from the wall . . . That, and Megatron’s interference.
Another scream broke through her thoughts, and Angel ground her teeth, crossing her arms, closing her eyes tightly. The pain was resonant through the UP, but she kept it from going too far. Unfortunately, she could not keep the awful pain from reaching through to Jasmine’s, JewelBlade’s, bondmate.
