~General Narration~
Jasmine yawned, shifting in the bed against Optimus. She felt a bit groggy and sore, but otherwise, the world was a marvelous place to be. It was beautiful and bright and filled with so many wondrous things. Including the part where her abdomen was swelling more and more with every passing day.
“That reminds me,” she began slowly, nuzzling against Optimus and where he lay next to her, feeling his skin brush against hers. “We have to make names . . . Do we want to keep the ones we had before? I’m not sure how well ‘Blaze’ will go over in the human world. Jade will be just fine, but Blaze might raise some eyebrows. We could call him Blake instead.”
She could feel his chest rumble as he chuckled. “Oh? Well, as the expert I think you’d be best suited to these decisions, Maiden. Please feel free to do so.”
She gave a small smile. He hadn’t even opened his eyes to the early morning light. “Oh, you’re no help, you darn Prime. How do you expect us to get anywhere if you don’t have any ideas?”
He chuckled again, keeping his eyes closed, though one of his hands began to covertly creep down to her abdomen, grazing over the bump that was swelling. “You’re supposed to be the smart one, aren’t you, Maiden? I’m not an expert on humans. You, however, ought to know plenty so that our children don’t raise any eyebrows. Of course, until they start being athletic, attractive geniuses. That’ll be it’s own problem, though.”
Jasmine laughed softly, shaking her head at the man in her bed. “Are you serious right now, Optimus? You can’t possibly know all that for sure.”
He grinned, opening his eyes to lock his sapphire colored eyes to her emerald colored ones with a light gleaming inside his irises. “I do know that for sure, Maiden. How could I not?”
She shook her head, laughing gently. “Because they’re not even born yet, Optimus.”
He smiled, kissing her forehead, rubbing his hand over the skin of her abdomen slowly. “Oh, but I can, Maiden. I truly can. Because look at their handsome, strong father, and their beautiful, smart, amazing mother. How can you expect them to be any less than the absolute best?”
Jasmine didn’t hold back from laughing, shaking her head at his blatant confidence in their still developing children. “Optimus for the love of Primus, who have you been listening to? You’re normally as humble as the day is long.”
He chuckled softly. “Mindy’s been emailing me asking if we’re married yet and if we’re going to have children, going on and on about what perfect children they would be with parents like us and how she’s jealous that we’ve found each other. She’s quite . . . enthusiastic about these things.”
She snickered in response, shaking her head gently in amusement. “It figures that girl would be the one putting such ideas in my innocent Prime’s processor. You’re never this . . . well, cocky.”
His head tilted, a questioning tint quickly invading his eyes. “What are you talking about? Aren’t I always cocky? I mean, I do have the proper equipment, Maiden, and-.”
She laughed outright, pushing him gently. “Good AllSpark, Optimus! Two different things right there! Two, entirely, completely, different things. Having male equipment does not make you ‘cocky’. It’s an attitude thing that makes you cocky. Being full of yourself. That sort of thing. Don’t ask me how that transition was made, but it was. Anyway . . .”
He blinked. “So having a cock doesn’t make me cocky?”
She snickered, shaking her head again. “I just got done explaining this, Optimus! Seriously! No. It doesn’t.”
