Chapter 18 - The date

Lily's P.O.V.

After a few minutes of driving, he took me to a restaurant that I have never been to before.

He gets out of the car then I got out as well.

We got in the place and the smell was very delicious!

"Table for two please." Logan said to the waitress. The waitress nodded, leading us to a small booth at the back.

"I have never been to this restaurant before." I said.

"It's because this place isn't that famous." He chuckled.

Soon, a waiter came up to us. "Can I get your order?"

We looked at the menu, then ordered the same meal.

"And for dessert?" The waiter asked.

"We'll think about it later." Logan said then the waiter nodded before walking away.

My eyes gazed around the place and I noticed a picture of muffins by the counter which made me smile.

"What?" Logan asked.

"Hmm?" I mumbled.

"Why are you smiling?"

"Oh.. nothing." I laughed. "I just saw a picture of muffins."

"What's so funny about muffins?" Logan laughed.

"Because Shawn loves muffins." I blurted out.

"Oh," Logan awkwardly laughed.

"I-I'm sorry, that was so unusual." I apologized.

"It's okay." Logan said.

Minutes later, the waiter came up to us, serving our meals.

I saw that our meal had tomatoes in it which reminded me of Shawn again.

I remembered when we were little, I used to throw some tomatoes at Shawn for fun. Then he would run away and scream like a moron.

I'm still curious though. About Shawn's actions in the past few days. What is up with him lately?

"Uh, Lily? Hello?" Logan said, causing me to snap back to reality.

"Yeah?"

"Why are you not eating? Don't you like your food?" He asked.

"No no! I like it." I said then smiled, taking a bite of my food.

He chuckled then smirked.

"So, tell me Lily.. Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked.

I paused, awkwardly looking at him.

"Uhh, no. I don't." I said.

"Have you ever had one?" He asked.

"No." I quietly said. "What about you? Have you ever had a girlfriend?"

"Yeah. About, four or five I guess." He said.

Wow that's a lot of girls.

"Oh, okay." I laughed. Well that's a bit of a turn off.

"What do you wanna do today?" He asked.

"Well, what do you have in mind?" I asked.

"I was planning on watching a movie. Maybe we could do that." He smiled.

"Sure." I said.

We both finished our food then he insisted paying the bill himself.
He handed the check to the waitress then winked at her making the waitress smile seductively. I turned away and pretended that I didn't see anything.

"Let's go?" He said. I nodded then we walked to the door.

He suddenly placed his hand on my waist, making me flinch a bit. I simply removed his hand from my waist.

We exited the restaurant then head back to his car.

Shawn's P.O.V.

I headed downstairs once Lily was gone. I walked in the living room then saw the boys watching a movie.

"What are you guys watching?" I asked.

They suddenly paused the movie then looked at me.

"What?" I said.

"Okay we're going to be straight-forward on this so listen." Carter said. "You've been acting weird lately ever since Lily met that Logan guy. You've been avoiding her and making things awkward. And then, you suddenly said you weren't feeling well a while ago when I think you're perfectly fine. We knew you were lying. So what is up?"

I sighed then took a deep breath.

"Honestly, I don't know why I'm acting like this lately. Every time I see Lily with that Logan guy, I feel strange and not myself. I feel like, Logan will do something bad to Lily. He might be a bad influence or something. I don't know.. It's complicated." I said.

"We told you already, Mendes. You're jealous. It's just plain jealousy." Taylor said.

"No, I'm not jealous. Why would I ever be jealous?" I said.

"Because you're in love with Lily!" Aaron said. "We all knew it from the start. You like her."

"Yes I admit, I like her a lot. And maybe I do love her. But for the one hundredth time! I'm not jealous." I said.

"Okay whatever. Just sit here and watch with us to get your mind cool off of things." Matt said then moved a little giving me a space on the couch.

I gave in then sat beside them then watched the movie.
