Chapter 60 - Prom night part 1

Shawn's P.O.V.

"Good evening to everyone! Welcome to this year's Promenade!" The host says as the crowd gave him an applause.

I keep eyeing the entrance to see if the boys are here with Lily.

I had to admit, everything is set up nicely. Pure elegance and it looked so magical in the venue.

I watched as people start to crowd the entrance as each of them gets their picture from the photographer.

Still no sign of them.

"They're not here yet, huh?" Camila suddenly says as she walked up beside me wearing a simple sky blue gown.

"Nope." I said.

"Don't worry, I'm sure they're on their way." She smiled.

The program soon started.

"Excuse me, I'm gonna get us some punch." I said to Camila as she nodded.

The music started blasting in the area as people started to dance and mingle in their own ways still keeping the elegance in the room. Well that's actually impressing.

"Here you go," I said as I handed the drink to Camila.

"Thanks," She smiled, sipping the liquid.

We just stood there, while we watched everyone having the night of their lives.

"Hey Shawn!" I heard someone's voice say. I think that was Kaylee.

"Kaylee?" I said. I saw her and Connor with a guy with curly hair walk towards our direction. "Wow I didn't recognize you! You look great!"

She laughed, "thanks."

"You too, Connor." I said.

"Why thank you, mr. Mendes." He said.

"I see you've got a date?" I said referring to the guy with curly hair.

"This is Troye by the way. Troye, this is Shawn." Connor said.

"Hello," Troye smiled as I bid hello too.

"Where's Lily?" I asked.

"Perfect question darling," Connor smirked.

"Huh?" I confusedly said.

"There they are!" Camila pointed to the entrance.

I turned as I saw the boys each walk inside.

And then, there she was. Lily.

I stood there, frozen, my eyes glued on her.

She looked like a queen. She was so stunning, beautiful.

I felt my heart beat ten times faster.

With each and every stare, I instantly fall in love again and again.

She walked closer to us, with a smile.

That smile. That smile that gave me inexplainable feelings.

God, I'm so messed up tonight.

"Shawn? Shawn!" I blinked twice remembering that I was able to breathe.

"H-huh, what?" I said.

"We were just saying that your mouth is already drooling," Taylor laughed.

Fuck, I must've looked like an idiot staring at her like that.

"Sooo, we'll just mingle and party, okay?" Connor said as he pointed to a huge table, which was reserved for us all.
