Chapter 22 - Camila?

Lily's P.O.V.

"Camila?" Matt said.

Camila? Who's Camila?

"Come in!" Matt said then in came a skinny girl with dark hair.

"Hey guys." She greeted the boys.

"Hey Camila. What brings you here?" Taylor asked.

"Oh, um.. Shawn invited me over. He said he wants to hang out.." She said.

"Oh by the way, Camila meet Lily. Lily, this is Camila. She's a friend of Shawn." Taylor said.

We both smiled at each other.

"Hi, I'm Camila. Nice to meet you." She said.

"I'm Lily. Nice to meet you too."

"Camila!" I heard Shawn's voice from upstairs. He quickly ran down then hugged her.

I felt a sudden pang of annoyance in me.

"Hey Shawn!" She exclaimed.

He lets go then laughs. "I missed you."

"Aw, I missed you too Shawn." She said.

Why do I feel so annoyed at her? I feel so weird.

"Let's go outside?" Shawn asked.

"Okay." She laughed.

"We'll be out for a bit." Shawn said.

"Okay." Taylor said then they both got out of the house.

The boys got up from the couch and walked out of the living room leaving me and Cameron on the couch.

I frowned, leaning back on the couch.

I felt my heart drop, as if it was hanging on a string suddenly being cut by the hands of someone else.

First, he'll ignore me, avoid all my directions and then, he brings another girl with him? Great. Just great.

Just then, I heard my inner self speak; Why are you so affected?

A question I find it hard to answer. Why am I so affected? I know I care for him as hell because he's my best friend but.. I don't think I have to be jealous of another girl. Am I?

"Lily?"

I looked at Cameron, who was staring at me confused.

"Do you even like Logan?"

I stared at him, blankly.

Of course no. Logan is very far from any boy I have in mind.

"Should I tell you the truth?" I asked.

He nodded, waiting for me to continue. I took a deep breath, then spoke,

"No." I looked down, "I don't."

"Can I ask you something?" He said.

"What?"

"What did you feel when you saw Shawn with Camila?"

I paused. Thinking whether I should tell what I really felt or just lie.

"Oh." I said. "I um-"

"Hey." Logan said walking towards us then sat beside me.

"Did I miss something?" He asked.

Cameron sighed before standing up, "I'll talk to you later."

I nodded before he walked away. I sighed.

"Is everything okay?" Logan asked.

Does it look like I'm okay? No.

"Yeah. I'm fine."

Even if I know I'm not. I'll pretend I'm okay.

"Why don't we go outside?" He said.

"Okay. Let's go to the park." I said then got up.

Shawn's P.O.V.

"Thanks for coming Camila." I said as we walked freely in the park.

"It's okay. Why did you invite me by the way?" She asked.

I kicked the rocks in the ground and sighed.

"I just needed someone to talk to."

"About?" she said.

"About Lily."

"Lily? She's your best friend right?" I nodded.

"What about her?"

"I don't know. I- I just feel so different ever since she met that Logan guy. It's just not right." I said.

"Who's Logan?" She asked as we sat on the swings.

"Lily met him at the amusement park. And I don't trust that guy. Not a single bit."

"Why?"

"He doesn't treat Lily the way a guy should treat her. He has.. a dark side. It's hard to explain." I sighed. "I'm worried for her."

She suddenly laughs silently, looking at the ground.

"What?" I asked.

"You're worried for her? Or you're just jealous?" She smirked.

"Why do you guys keep on saying that? I'm not jealous! I'm just worried for her because I know that jerk will do something stupid to Lily." I said.

"Oh come on, Mendes. I know you. I know how guys react. And I also know, that you're jealous because you see Lily with another guy."

"Whatever you say, I'm not jealous. I'm not gonna be jealous over that jerk." I said swinging back and forth.

"Uhh.. Shawn?" Camila said looking behind me.

I looked over my shoulder and saw Lily with Logan.
