Chapter 7 - The Jacks

Lily's P.O.V.

Today's the day. The day where we travel to San Francisco for a magcon event. I don't even know what magcon is. But the boys said that I'll see later on.

I put my phone, wallet and other stuff that I need for a trip in my bag. I was wearing a pair of black ripped jeans that Shawn bought for me, a red plaid shirt with sleeves that reached my elbows and a pair of my black converse.

"Hey, you ready?" Shawn asked entering my room.

"Yeah. I think I got everything I need." I said.

"Okay. Let's go." He said then we both exited my room. We went downstairs and outside the house. The boys were already in the van ready to go. I got inside the van and sat beside Shawn before closing the door.

After hours of driving, we finally made it to the event center and the boys got out of the car.

I was about to step off the van when my foot slipped. Of course, I was about to fall on the ground but then someone caught me.

Shawn.

"Woah!" He said as he carried me. He looked into my eyes and I did the same. My heart beated faster and I couldn't look into his eyes too long. So I looked away.

As clichè as it is, I felt like I was in the popular romance movies where they look into each others eyes and stay there until they instantly fall in love.
He set me down and cleared his throat awkwardly.

"You should be more careful. 'Kay?" He said looking away. I nodded 'yes' then we went inside the event center.

I don't understand. Why do I feel like this? I felt like my heart had a running marathon in my chest. I have never felt this feeling before. This is something new, to be honest.

One of the guards led us to the backstage, I think, then gave each and one of the boys their own microphone.

"You'll be staying here while we perform on stage, Lils. Will you be okay here?" Shawn asked.

"Of course! I'll be fine, don't worry." I smiled.

Minutes later, two boys entered. One had blonde hair and the other had brown.

"Hey here comes the Jacks!" Nash said bro hugging the two. Jacks?

They all greeted each other and gave bro hugs. I cleared my throat.

"Oh I forgot! Lily, meet Jack and Jack." Nash said pointing at them.

"They're both named Jack?" I asked.

"Hi. I'm Jack Gilinsky." The one with brown hair said.

"And I'm Jack Johnson." The one with blonde hair said.

"Hello, I'm Lily. Lily Watson."

"Oh so you're Shawn's girlfriend aye?" Jack J said smirking.

"What?" I asked.

"Dude." Shawn groaned elbowing Jack J.

"I'm kidding." Jack J said then laughed.

After moments of chatting backstage, we then heard the center getting crowded by teenage girls.

"You guys are up in 10 minutes." The security said.

They all got ready and Shawn came up to where I'm sitting.

"We'll perform in a bit. Just ask the security if you ever need anything, okay? I'll be checking you every now and then when I get the chance." Shawn said.
