Chapter 42 - Surprise!

Shawn's P.O.V.

I shifted on bed, placing my arm supposedly on my girlfriend's body when my arm lands on an empty space. I opened my eyes to see that I was alone in the room. I checked the time. 8:15 am.

Lily's up early? I sat up from bed, realizing what day it is today. I sighed.

Today is my birthday. And I don't think anyone remembered at all.

I checked my phone to see that the fans already sent me tons of birthday wishes. At least my fans remembered. I continued to scroll through my notifications, and all I saw was some birthday wishes from my other friends and fans. I checked my messages, and there were zero. I frowned.

Doesn't anyone remember my birthday?

I got up from bed, then went straight to the bathroom. I took a quick shower then brushed my teeth then changed into some sweatpants and a hoodie.

I don't have any errands to do anyway, so why not get comfortable the whole day?

After everything else, I went out of the room then into the living room.

"Good morning, Shawn!" Taylor said who was cooking something with Cameron and Lily.

"Morning," my raspy voice said.

"Why so lifeless?" Matt asked, who was on the couch in the living room with the others.

"Nothing." I simply said then sat on the table.

"Here, I made you breakfast." Lily smiled placing a plate of pancakes, and three blueberry muffins on the side with an oreo milkshake.

"Woah," I smiled looking at the heaven in front of me.

"Eat your heart out," Lily giggled, then went back to the kitchen.

As I was eating, I notice that they were all just doing random stuff, like there was nothing special today. Did they really forget?

"Oh uh, Shawn? Can you come with me to the mall? I need to buy something real quick." Taylor said.

I swallowed the last bit of food on my plate, then chucked down the milkshake.

"Sure." I said, wiping my mouth with the tissue that was placed in the middle of the table.

I stood up, then Taylor grabbed the car keys and his phone.

"We'll head out now!" Taylor said. They all nodded then we both left the suite.

Lily's P.O.V.

Once the door was closed, Nash got up then looked through the little peep hole.

"Are they gone?" I asked.

"Yeah. Coast is clear!" Nash said.

We then got the party set ups behind the kitchen counter, and some of the balloons and banner from Cameron's room.

We actually bought a lot of party needs that could be enough for a huge party.

"I told Taylor to keep Shawn distracted just until we finish preparing everything." Aaron said.

"Good. Now all we need is to prepare everything." Matt said.

I grabbed the helium balloons then let some of it float to the ceiling, then the ordinary ones, I let it spread on the floor. The room was already filled with balloons and looks so kiddy-like. Which is cute.

Nash and Cameron went to place the banner on the plain wall just in front of the door so people would see it.

Matt went to get the big cake that was in his room and it was still boxed so Carter helped him carry it on the table then already unboxed it. It was a beautiful chocolate cake. Since Shawn said he liked chocolate cakes.
