Chapter 19 - Awkwardness

Lily's P.O.V.

After watching a movie, I decided to head home already since it was already getting late. Logan drove me to the boys' house then we both got out of the car. He walked me up to the front porch.

"Well, umm.. Thanks for the date, Logan." I said.

"Of course. Anytime, Lily. We should do this more often." He smirked.

I just gave him a slightly awkward laugh.

He looked at me, then slowly leaned in.

I backed away from him then coughed loudly.

"I uh.. I should go inside. I'm really really tired." I said then faked a yawn.

"Oh, okay. So um.. Goodnight, Lily." He said then scratched the back of his neck.

"Goodnight. Bye." I said then he smiled before walking back towards his car. I then watched his car drive away from the house.

I let out a sigh of relief. That was so close!

I entered the house and saw Nash and Cameron in the living room.

"Hey Lily! How was your date?" Nash asked.

I groaned and collapsed on the couch beside them.

"It was so uncomfortable! He's such a flirt to girls, and he even tried to make a move on me more than once! It was so awkward." I said.

"Really?" Cameron said.

"Yeah. He's very far from Shawn." I said quietly.

Wait, did I just say that?

"Shawn?" Nash asked, smirking.

"I-I mean, he's very far from being an ideal man." I said.

"Okay.." Cameron said, smirking at Nash.

"By the way, where's the boys?"

"They're already sleeping." Nash said.

I nodded. "I'm gonna go to bed as well. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Lily." Cameron said then they both gave me a warm hug. I smiled then walked upstairs.

As I was walking in the hallway, I saw Shawn who was walking on the opposite direction as me.

"Shawn?" I said. He just looked at me then continued walking.

"Shawn!" I ran up to him, grabbing his hand. He looked at me in the eyes.

"How are you feeling? Are you okay now?" I asked, concerned.

"Yeah.. I'm just tired I guess. You should go to sleep. You look tired." He said with no emotions.

I frowned a bit then he lets go of my hand before walking downstairs. I was left there, dumbfounded.

I walked to my room then went inside, closing the door behind me.

Why is Shawn acting so weird all of a sudden? Like he was trying to ignore me for some reason. Did I do something wrong?

Or maybe I did something that he did not like? But I can't figure out what I did! This is so frustrating.

Maybe he's just tired. He'll come back to normal tomorrow morning.

Shawn's P.O.V.

I let go of Lily's hand which was holding mine then went downstairs.

I wasn't feeling like talking to Lily at the moment. I feel so awkward and... empty. I feel like she didn't need me anymore. Since she started to be friends with that Logan guy.

The boys said that I was only jealous. Pfft yeah right.

Like, why would I ever be jealous of such things? I'm not like that. Or so I know I'm not.

Lily can be friends with whatever guy she wishes to be friends with. I don't care! That's her choice, not mine.

But I don't know why it bugs me so much to know that she might like another guy.

"You're still awake?"

I turned to see Cameron in the kitchen.

"So are you." I said.

"Me and Nash were just watching a movie. Why are you still awake?" He asked.

"I uh.. I can't sleep." I said.

He shrugged then drank from his water bottle.

"Don't think about it too much." Cameron said then patted my back before walking out of the kitchen.

I sighed then drank some water as well.
