Chapter 31 - Peasant

Lily's P.O.V.

"Wait what?" I said, surprised at what Connor admitted.

"Yeah." He laughed.

"Since when?" I said.

"I don't know. In a long time I guess." He said sipping on his frappe.

"I never thought you'd be like that." I said.

"Me too. But when I get to watch at you closely, I can already suspect that you are." Kaylee said.

"Oh come on, it's not that hard to tell if a person is." Connor laughed.

"What did you feel when you told everyone about it?" I asked.

"It felt really great actually. It felt so relieving." He said.

"What about you?" He asked.

"Huh?"

"Tell us more about you." He said.

"There's nothing much about me." I said.

"Oh nonesense! I'm sure there's alot to tell about you." Kaylee said.

I laughed.

"Well, I live with my friends in one roof. They're all boys. I treat them like brothers actually. And they treat me as their own sister. But one of them is my boyfriend." I smiled.

"Oooh! Do tell." Connor smirked.

"His name is Shawn. Shawn Mendes." I said.

"Shawn Mendes? As in the Shawn Mendes?" He said.

"Yeah."

"That's what I said too." Kaylee said.

"But he's like, famous right?" He said.

"Yeah." I said.

"And you can handle it? I mean, the hate and everything?"

"Shawn and I talked about that already. And it's okay." I smiled.

"How did you guys meet?" Kaylee asked.

I smiled as looked at my cup. I remembered our memories when we were still kids. Up until now.

"We're best friends actually. Since we were still kids." I said. "But then we got separated when he got famous. Then he found my email account, which made us meet in contact again. Then I lived with him, and that's about it."

"And your parents were okay with it?" Kaylee asked.

I paused for a while, mentally blocked at the question.

"I um, you see.. My parents aren't um, with me." I said, trying to make things less awkward.

"Why? Did they leave or something?" Connor asked.

"N-no. But um, I kinda don't wanna talk about it." I said.

"Oh," Kaylee said, "it's okay. We totally understand. Maybe in the right time."

I smiled then drank some of my coffee. I checked the time.

"It's getting late guys. I better go." I said.

"Yeah, your boyfriend might be looking for you right now." Connor smirked.

"I guess." I blushed.

"We'll drive you home." Kaylee said.

"Let's go." Connor said, then we all stood up and left.
