Chapter 53 - Home

Lily's P.O.V.

Home sweet home, I thought to myself as I entered the house me and the boys left.

They all went to their own places in the house to chill for a bit while I decided to head over to my room.

On my way, I bumped into Nash who was walking through the hallway as well.

"Oh- Lily," he said.

I chuckled, "hey Nash."

"Hi. Are things okay?" He asked, a bit of worry in his eyes.

I faked a smile, "I'm fine. And I hope everything will be, soon."

He nodded as he gave me a warm hug before going downstairs.

I continued my way to my room. I want to take a rest. I'm pretty tired from the trip.

As I freshened up, and lied comfortably in my cold, untouched bed, a lot of things hit me.

Overthinking.

Memories.

Flashbacks.

But most importantly, him.

I know I ended things with him. But that's what my mind says, while my heart says the opposite.

I'm stupid, right? Why would I break up with Shawn, when in fact, I'm still in love with him.

I, myself, don't know either. But I know it's the best for the both of us.

Shawn's P.O.V.

I walked out of the kitchen when I heard multiple knocks on the front door.

I walked over it, opening it widely.

"Connor? Kaylee?" I said as I stared at both of their figures in front of me.

"Hey Shawn! Is Lily there?" Connor asked, smiling.

"Oh-umm. Yeah. She's in her room." I stuttered.

"Mind if we come in?" Kaylee asked, a bit confused at my actions.

"Oh, sure. Of course!" I said snapping out of my nerves as I stepped aside the doorway.

They walked inside as I closed the door.

I cleared my throat, "is Lily expecting you guys?"

"I guess? She told us to come over when she's home. Why?" Kaylee asked.

"Oh, nothing. She's asleep I guess." I said.

"Is everything okay?" Connor asked.

I just looked at them, unable to say anything.

"She didn't tell you anything, did she?" I said.

"No? What would she tell us anyway?" Kaylee asked, confused.

I sighed, "we broke up last night."

"WHAT?!" they both yelled simultaneously.

"Why?"

"How?"

"Seriously?!"

"Calm down!" I said, "it's all my fault."

"Dude you need to start explaining," Kaylee said as she sat on the couch.

I sighed. I guess I need to tell everything.

... Fifteen minutes later ...

"You're such an idiot!" Kaylee said.

"How can you let all of that happen?" Connor said.

"Because I'm so stupid," I sighed, "I never wanted any of this to happen."

"That Lauren girl is lucky I'm not in the same room as she is or else I swear I'm gonna make sure she won't ever walk again," Kaylee said.

"Chill, girl! I'm sure she learned her lesson." Connor said.

"She should!"

I sighed deeply.

"Do you still love her?" Connor asked.

I stared at them, "of course I do. With all my heart. I never stopped. Never will."

Then something hit me.

"But I don't know if she still loves me," I frowned.

"Of course she does. Maybe she just needs a little space." Kaylee said.

"Maybe she'll get her mind off it when prom comes." Connor excitedly says.

"Oh yeah," Kaylee smiled.

"You should be her date!" Connor said.

"He can't, idiot!" Kaylee said smacking Connor's arm.

"Ow," Connor pouted.

"I would love to be her date. But that doesn't fit the situation right now." I said, "what should I do. I want her back."

After a few seconds, Kaylee and Connor exchanged looks, somewhat exchanging the same thoughts.

"We have an idea," Kaylee smirked.
