Chapter 54 - Eves dropping?

Lily's P.O.V.

I woke up with the disturbing noises downstairs.

I heard a laugh that sounded very very loud.

Wait, was that Connor's voice I heard?

I got up, opening the door of my room as I walked outside, down the hallways.

"It would be so fun to have you as our guest in our prom!" I heard Kaylee's voice say.

"I bet it'll be so amazing, Shawn!" Connor said.

I continued listening trying my best to hide from them in the hallways.

"Omg no way?!" Connor said excitedly.

"You're bringing Camila Cabello as your date?!" Kaylee squeeked.

"Yup!" I heard Shawn answer.

I felt as if my heart fell down to my stomach as I heard them get so excited about Camila.

I breathed heavily as if my lungs were gonna explode.

Has he moved on already? Is it that quick for him to replace me?

My God, why the heck am I crying? I shouldn't be crying over such things.

But I admit the pain hit me like hell.

I wiped my tears off my cheeks.

Fine, if he's over me, so be it. I should be over him too.

I heard footsteps coming from the stairs, as I quietly hid from the opposite direction. I saw Shawn walking towards his room which was across from mine.

I sighed deeply.

"C'mon, let's wake Lily up," Kaylee said.

Shoot.

I immediately ran to my room, gently closing the door, jumping in my bed, and soon pretended to sleep.

Seconds later, I heard my door open.

"Oh, Lilyyyy!" I heard Connor's voice chirp.

"Wakey, wakey, Lils!" Kaylee added.

I pretended to wake up, facing both of my friends.

"Omg guys, I missed you two so much!" I said hugging them.

"We missed you even more, gurl! Oh my God if you only knew," Connor said.

I laughed.

"Um, by the way, on the phone earlier, I'm so sorry for acting so weird, it's just that-"

"You don't have to explain," Kaylee smiled.

"I don't?" I said.

"Yeah," Kaylee said.

"Shawn told us everything." Connor said.

"O-oh. Um, okay. So I guess you both know now." I said.

They soon placed their hands on my back, trying to give me soothing touches.

"It's okay, Lily. We're here for you. Don't mind your break-up! For now, how bout talking about prom?" Connor winked.

"Yes!! And we should start planning for our outfits cause prom's coming soon!" Kaylee said.

"Yeah, of course. So excited for that," I said, remembering what I heard earlier.

I should be ready. And I will be.
