Chapter 8 - Mom?

Shawn's P.O.V.

Lily fell asleep on my shoulder during our way home. I stared at her and smiled, sweeping a strand of hair out of her face, putting it behind her ear. She's so beautiful.

"You like her, huh?" Taylor said.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

"You like Lily. Don't you?"

I just remained silent and stared at her. Yes, I like her. I love her more than just my best friend. But I know she'll never feel the same way.

"I knew it. Just from the start, I knew you loved her." Taylor said smirking a little.

I sighed. "She'll never feel the same way towards me. We're best friends, and I think that should be that."

"Who knows? Maybe she likes you too." Taylor said then leaned his neck on the car seat before closing his eyes.

Can she? Can she like me too? Can she love me the way I love her?

"We're here guys." Nash said pulling up in front of the house. We all go down and I carried Lily inside the house.  She might be tired from the trip.

I went upstairs and opened the door to her room and went in closing the door with my foot. I set her on her bed and pulled the sheets on her body.

How I wish she felt the same way about me. I really love her. I really do.

I kissed her forehead before leaving her room. I gently closed the door and head downstairs. I went straight to the kitchen to get something to drink. I grabbed a bottle of water and chugged the liquid.

"Hey man," Cam says as he enters the kitchen.

"Sup." I said.

"I need to tell you something." Cam said sitting on a chair near the kitchen table.

"Hit me." I said looking at him.

"Well, you're one of my best friends, and you're best friends with Lily. I just think you should know..." he trails off. Where exactly is this going?

"And?" I said wanting him to finish his sentence.

"I like Lily." He finishes.

"What?" I asked feeling really surprised at what he said. Cam likes Lily? This can't happen! We can't like the same girl.

"Yeah. I'm planning to ask her out. Help me?" He said.

"Oh.. Umm...Well- I.."

"Please?" He said with matching pleading eyes. I sighed.

"Okay." I said.

"Yes! Thanks man! You're the best." He said then gave me a bro hug then walked outside the kitchen.

I just had to give in. I love my best friend. I love Cam. But I also love Lily. But I think Cam deserves Lily better than me. And I don't want to see Cameron getting upset.

Lily's P.O.V.

I slowly opened my eyes as I reached for my phone.

9:30 am.

Good enough. I got up and went straight to the shower. I decided to wear a pair of skinny jeans and hoodie. I tied my hair up in a high ponytail.

I was planning on going to the grocery store to pick up some ice cream. I'm craving it right now. And no, I don't have my period right now. I just crave food occasionally then go buy it myself.
