Aliona's P.O.V

I walked into the grill and was greeted by the loudness of underaged teenagers dancing and drinking whilst the music played so loud that I could feel the bass thumping in my chest. I giggled with Lexi as it reminded me of old times when we would go out together, Stefan said that he'd follow us he just had somewhere to go first. That basically meant he was going to go see Elena, despite her constant pleas for him to just leave her alone. You'd think by now he would've given up.

Finally Stefan walked in and the two of us wondered over to him, trying to get him to dance. However it seemed more likely that we'd get Damon to smile to be honest.

"Fine, just warn me if you see Damon with his camera." He laughed as I rolled my eyes, cringing at my brothers awful dancing skills. "Can't we go and play pool or something?" He groaned as I shook my head.

"Sure, I think that one over there is empty." Lexi smiled as I groaned, not wanting to play.

"I'm gunna go get some fresh air, it's so hot in here." I laughed as they nodded, slowly I made my way through the crowd of people until I reached the back entrance of the grill. However as I made it to the door, Damon walked through it causing me to frown at him and raise an eyebrow. He just ignored me and brushed past me, disappearing back into the sea of people.

I walked outside to investigate why Damon could have been outside. That's when I could sense it. The smell hit my nostrils before I could see it. Although when I turned the corner my suspicions were confirmed.

I could see the sheriff holding a torch and highlighting a figure on the floor, he was dead and covered in his own crimson blood that leaked from the puncture holes in his neck. A few yards away sat a girl who was huddled against the wall and crying, whoever had done this had made a sloppy job of it. Leaving witnesses was like running around the entire town with a sign on your head saying that you're a vampire.

The smell was so overpowering that I had to use every once of strength in my body just to not jump out and feed from the guy.

I crept around the corner and hid in the shadows, watching as the sheriff was talking to the girl whilst radioing for back up. Suddenly Matt walked out of the grill, holding a very wasted Caroline in his arms. I had to stifle a laugh at the site of her as Sheriff Forbes ran over to him.

"Is she drunk?" She questioned as Matt looked awkward and not sure what to say.

"As a skunk." Caroline smiled as I had to stop myself from laughing again.

"Are they serving you in there?" The sheriff questioned Matt as he looked lost for words.

"Uh...um I can give her a ride home, I haven't been drinking and it's on the way." He shrugged and dodged the question and the sheriff nodded, Matt was obviously in a hurry to get away from the police so began to walk back to his car without another word.

"Don't let anyone else leave." The Sheriff ordered to the officers around her as I sped back into the grill, needing to warn people.

I swiftly walked in and over to the bar as the police entered too, heading with the girl towards where Lexi and Damon were sat. Sheriff Forbes stalked up to Lexi and injected her with something as Lexi gasped.

"What are you doing?" Damon questioned looking shocked, however I could tell that he was being fake.

"Thanks for the vervain Damon." The sheriff nodded to him before a group of officers helped drag Lexi's body out of the grill, leaving me glaring at Damon.

"What the hell was that?" I hissed at him as he simply smirked and shrugged, taking another swig of his drink.

Stefan brushed past me and I followed him with Elena hot on our heels, pursuing the way that Lexi had gone. However two police officers stood at the exit and shook their heads.

"Can't go out this way." One of them shrugged as I glared at him, anger and hunger rising together as Stefan gripped my arm harshly. I turned to look at him as he shook his head and began to walk away in search of another exit, I followed with Elena.

Once the night air hit me, I could hear the sound of gunshots coming from around the corner. I ran around to see Lexi walking towards Sheriff Forbes who was shooting at her with her hand gun.

Suddenly Damon came out of nowhere and plunged a wooden stake into her heart, I gasped and cried out. However Stefan's arm was around me, pulling me back around the corner and out of view as his other hand covered my mouth. I sobbed into his hand as the tears fell from my eyes, my hatred for Damon building up by the second.

"Are you okay?" I heard Damon ask and peered around the corner, watching as he walked over to the shaken up sheriff.

"Y-yeah I'm fine, just get it in the car before someone sees." She murmured and began to help Damon lift Lexi's body.

"Oh my god." I breathed out as Stefan rubbed my arm soothingly, I turned to see tears brimming in his own eyes. "Stefan." I whimpered, looking at him and not my dead best friend behind me.

Stefan shook his head before walking off in the other direction and leaving me with Elena. She sighed before running after him, I walked towards them when Elena finally stopped him.

"He killed her. He killed Zach. He killed Tanner. He turned Vicki...I have to kill him." Stefan spoke as a tear fell from his eye, I'd never seen him so angry and upset since our mother died.

"No you can't do that." Elena pleaded as he frowned and looked at her, I did the same because this time Damon had gone way too far.

"What do you mean? Why are you still trying to save him?" He questioned but didn't wait for an answer and started to walk away again.

"I'm not trying to save him, I'm trying to save you." She called after him, causing him to stop

"Everywhere that I go, pain and death follow. Damon follows me. No more." He explained and turned to keep walking, I sighed in defeat knowing that he was right. Damon had to die.

"Stefan please just talk to me, let me be here of you." Elena grabbed his arm as I shook my head.

"No, you were right to stay away from me." He muttered and walked off towards the forest, this time Elena didn't stop him.

"I-I should probably go too, they're my brothers and I can't let Stefan do this by himself." I reasoned with Elena who started to cry.

"You know that you'll regret this Ali and so will he, Damon's your brother." She pleaded as I stared at her.

"After what he's done to everyone in this town. To Tanner. Vicki. Lexi. And me. I can't call him my brother anymore Elena, because when I last saw him in 1864 that was when he died. My brother died over one hundred years ago! The guy you see today is not my brother." I sighed and cried as I spoke, turning to walk away. "And he never will be."
