22 • Having Breakfast With A 'Missing Girl'

Aliona's P.O.V

"Hey Matty." I smiled as I spotted him by his locker.

"Hey were've you been?" Matt asked as I panicked, not bothering to have thought of a cover story.

"Oh uh... just with people d-down the police station." I lied as he frowned, he opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by Tyler

"Hey buddy." He smiled at him before looking at me, Tyler had always been quite flirty around me and he was still doing it today. "Hey Ali." He smirked at me as I rolled my eyes. "You know they're conducting a search party for Vicki." Tyler told us as my eyes widened.

"Yeah she just called, she's okay." Matt said as I stood in shock.

"So that's it? I figured you'd be worried out of your mind." Tyler shrugged as Matt grabbed something out of his locker. "You know if there's anything I can do, let me know." He smiled whilst Matt nodded and looked at him.

"I appreciate it." He smiled as Tyler turned to me, I raised an eyebrow.

"Unlike you to cut class, where've you been all morning?" He asked as I inwardly groaned, not wanting to lie again. Oh you know walking with the so called 'missing girl' and drinking blood bags.

"Well I woke up a lot later, so I went to look around for Vicki." I shrugged and noticed Matt had already left, leaving me alone with Tyler.

"Oh cool, so you got a costume for the party yet?" He asked whilst placing a hand on the locker next to me, so that he had me semi caged in.

"No I don't know if I'm gonna go, it looks quite lame." I sighed as he nodded.

"Okay well if you change your mind, then let me know." He raised an eyebrow at me before following the way that Matt had gone earlier.

School flew by, mainly because nobody was here to talk to so I spent most of my lessons asleep or zoned out.

I went straight back to the boarding house, only to find my brothers and Vicki out the front. The days were growing shorter as night was already trying to stretch across the sky.

"This is a bad idea." Stefan muttered as he saw you, you frowned and looked at Vicki. She looked extremely happy to be out, I warily walked around her until I stood next to Stefan.

"She's a vampire, she should know the perks." Damon shrugged as Vicki grinned.

"Like what?" She questioned as I narrowed my eyes at Damon, what was he up to?

"Like...this." He spoke before speeding through the air at lightning speed and appearing behind her. Vicki looked confused for a moment before turned around and gasped at Damon, realising what he'd just done.

"Woah, how did you do that?" Her eyes were wide and she smiled like a kid who had just got their first bike. Damon whirled around her again and ended up back where he started, causing Vicki to laugh in amazement.

"Come on Vicki, live a little." Damon motioned for her to try as my eyes widened, we'd never catch her. "No pun intended." He added.

"Vicki don't." I murmured as she grinned at me before running off into the woods, I turned to look at Damon as he stifled his smirk.

"Oh, my bad." He shrugged half heartedly as Stefan and I looked around frantically.

"I know where she would go." I nodded to him as we both took off at a fast run, leaving Damon to bathe in his smugness.
