New York - 1935
Aliona's P.O.V

The almost empty bar seemed bleak and quiet, neon lights shone through the windows and the music was turned down so low it was barely audible.

I'd had my eye on a particular couple that sat at the counter a few feet away. They were laughing and joking, seeming extremely out of place, they should have chosen somewhere a bit more lively.

I'd had my humanity off for almost 5 years now, Klaus had made this trip so much better, teaching me better ways to hunt.

"Excuse me!" I called from behind them, they were about half way down the alley way. "I've-I've had a bit too much." I pretended to stumble around and slur my words. "I don't know where my hotel is."

"What's it called?" The woman asked as she began to walk back and help, her partner seemed more withdrawn. I gave her all the details as she nodded. "Okay well it's only a few blocks from here, we can walk you if you want."

"Thank you so much, it would be very helpful." I muttered as the girl smiled.

They walked with me back to the hotel that was only a few minutes away, the man hadn't said a word to me but the woman was trying to make idle conversation.

"Thank you very much, this was very kind. Please come in and I'll give you some money for the trouble." I smiled sweetly, the man shook his head but I knew that she wouldn't be able to resist.

"You don't have to do that." She smiled but I shook my head.

"No please I insist." So they followed me up to the top floor where our room was, swiftly walking behind me as I approached the room. Instead of getting out my key, I simply knocked.

Klaus opened the door with a smirk, I caught his eye to let him know that I'd got our dinner.

"I'm glad you're back, it was getting late." Klaus spoke as I walked in, the couple following timidly. He looked at them for a moment before giving me an approving nod. "And you got them all the way here without compulsion, I'm impressed."

"What's going on?" The woman frowned as they backed up slightly, Klaus locked the door as I turned to face her.

"Don't worry dear, just relax alright." I smiled falsely at her, looking her up and down. "You have a pretty neck." I laughed as Klaus was watching, clearly amused. "Such a pity." I whispered as she frowned.

Without any warning I bit into her neck, blood was spurting out as I ripped the skin in an animalistic frenzy. The man was shouting out, however Klaus grabbed him and began to bite from his neck. I was groaning at the taste as I could feel the woman giving up with her feeble attempts to get free.

"Want to swap love?" Klaus whispered in my ear as I nodded, giving the collapsing woman to him.

I walked over to where the man was slumped on the coach, still breathing yet still loosing a lot of blood. His eyes were trying so hard to keep open but they opened wide when they saw me.

"Shhhh it's okay." I whispered soothingly to him as I straddled his lap, my face, that was covered in blood, was very close to his. "No need to struggle anymore." I placed a delicate kiss to his lips as he sobbed a little, causing me to laugh.
