The Next Day

Aliona's P.O.V

"Nice of you to join us love." Klaus remarked as I stepped into the bar, looking around, I noticed that Gloria was sat at a table and surrounded by candles and old pieces of parchment.

"Are you looking for the necklace?" I asked, attempting to picture it in my mind. I was sure that I'd seen it before, Stefan seemed to shift uncomfortably at the mention of the piece of jewellery.

"She's failing." Klaus replied bluntly, he didn't meet my eyes as he spoke. My mind flitted back to the conversation of the previous night. Did he still have feelings for me after all of this time?

"Well it's hard to track something when you don't have anything to go on." Gloria defended back, her eyes remained closed as she attempted to focus.

"Then use me, I only wore it for a thousand years." Rebekah piped up, she'd been sat on the bar and only when she spoke did it cause me to notice her. She jumped off and walked over to the powerful witch, taking her hand.

"I can sense something." Gloria seemed to murmur, however we all heard it; Stefan seemed to step forwards at her words. Her chanting increased as Stefan seemed to grow more and more worried.

I glanced over at Klaus and noticed that he too seemed to be on the edge of his seat, although he looked more intrigued and hopeful than nervous. He suddenly caught my eye, only for a moment, but in that moment I could have sworn that I saw something. A glimmer of something unrecognisable.

I noticed that it had suddenly grown silent. Gloria's chanting had ceased.

I turned back to the table to see the witch letting go of Rebekah's hand and sitting back in her chair.

"I've found it." She spoke as Stefan breathed out heavily.

"And where is it?" Rebekah pressed but Gloria shook her head.

"It doesn't work like that, doll. You see, I get images." I'd always admired how Gloria didn't tolerate the absurdities of the Originals, however in a moment like this, I didn't believe it to be a wise decision. "I saw a girl with her two friends..."

"Yes a dead girl, with dead friends if I don't get my necklace back." Rebekah spoke in her stroppy voice, one similar to a toddler that's not getting her way.

"I'll have to dive back in to get the details." Gloria spoke back.

"So dive." Klaus interjected, rising from his seat and walking past me towards Gloria. He leaned on the table as she raised an eyebrow.

"I need more time...and space." She glanced down at the arm that was leaning on the table she sat at.

"We can wait." Klaus nodded.

"I'm sure you can, but that's not what I asked." Gloria continued and shook her head.

"Hey why don't we come back later, I'm hungry anyway." Stefan spoke as my stomach lurched slightly, the hunger combined with the nauseous feeling of my brother turning into a ripper had me conflicted. "I'll let you pick who we eat." I shuddered and kept my eyes fixated on the ground, however I eventually glanced up to see that Klaus was now looking at me.
