Her POV

Normal people usually eat dinner with so much freedom they can even eat with their bare hands. Dinner was supposed to be enjoyed and food was supposed to be savoured. Pero hindi sa mga oras na ito.

"So tomorrow is the start of your internship, right Alice?" Said the woman in bloody red dress. Antoinette Morfell has always been a fan of red, any shade, you name it. She is a woman of discipline and elegance, something that Alexandria slightly missed.

"Yes, Mom. Perrie and I have packed our things already." sagot ng babaeng katabi ko, looking all gorgeous in her blue dress. I just continued eating, not minding the stares that he's giving me. What's wrong with Kaelan?

"What about you son?" The man in his tuxedo asked. Looking at Kristoff Morfell, he clearly emits the aura of a business tycoon. His actions are refined and graceful, fit for a man of honor. But behind those compliments is a man who thirst for blood.

I looked at the young man in front of me who is putting a smiling face in front of his dad.

"I, too, have prepared for the internship. No worries, Dad." he went back to eating, his gaze went over me but quickly diverted it.

"Well that's good. I guess we can plan out things now, right Perrie?"

Hearing my name and realizing what she said, I looked at Antoinette with a confused face. She then smiled and took a sip of her wine. I glanced at the girl sitting beside me, asking for an answer, but she was obviously avoiding my gaze.

"We plan to have you as our daughter in law, Perrie. Would that be okay with you?"

Natigil ako ng saglit at tiningnan ang batang lalake na kaharap ko. Bigla kong naalala ang nangyari noon. Ang pangyayaring dapat sana ay kinalimutan ko na. Memories came in flooding my mind, making me space out.

The world is cruel to the good one but it is forgiving to the evil one. How unfair could that be?

It was during that rainy night when I was awakened by a loud exploding sound resonating in my whole room. I walked towards my now wide open window to check if it was a thunderstorm. The sky was dark and the rain pours like unending tears. Lightning stroke, delivering fear to the wild animals in the woods. Thunder roared and i was startled with fear. At dahil sa ako'y labing dalawang taong gulang pa lamang, agad akong tumakbo patungo sa silid ng aking mga magulang.

I was running past the corridor when I heard a loud banging sound once more. Only this time, it wasn't coming from the sky. It was from my parent's room.

Nakita kong nakaawang ang pinto ng kanilang kwarto kaya dali akong pumasok.

"Mom? Dad?" I murmured out of fear.

I scanned the room which looked like a crash site of a misdriven chopper. Then there on the floor beside their bed were my mom and dad, dripping wet with their own blood. I waited for the tears to come, but there were none. I waited for pain, but i felt nothing except for fear. The fear that i might survive alone or die together with them. As i walk towards their bodies, a man came out from dad's office, holding his files. I was about to hide behind the couch when he looked at me.

I was anticipating to see his face. I want to know who he is, but he was wearing a mask.

I walked backwards with fear while he moves towards me. Nagsimulang tumulo ang mga luha ko.

"Please don't kill me."

I saw his right hand trembling while holding a gun. He kneeled down and held my face.
