Chapter 19 Fallen Vanguard

Kaelan's POV

Habang tinitingnan ko ang babaeng nakaupo sa passenger's seat ng kotse ay hindi ko maiwasang maalala ang batang babae na naging dahilan ng mga ngiti ko. Diana was the girl for me even if we were still kids back then. Call it puppy love, I don't care. She was my childhood crush. She was my first love. And this lady sitting prettily beside me reminds me so much of her. However, their resemblance is not that close. Diana has pale skin color while hers was rosy white. The lady beside me has a long black hair flowing freely with an ample amount of fringe covering her slightly.

"Ginoo, nais ko sanang ipaalala sa iyo na dapat akong makarating sa paliparan ng buhay" sambit nito habang diretsong nakatingin sa daan. Realizing what she said, I focused on my driving and fixed my eyes on the road.

"I'm sorry" I saw her nodded in my peripheral vision. She's a quiet lady and the way she speaks is so refined. Just like Diana. She is a woman of few words but all that comes out of her mouth were words of wisdom. That's why i love her. And this woman beside me exudes the same personality. Quiet, serene and classy.

Tiningnan ko ang apat na itim na kotse na nakasunod sa amin. When the Lady asked me to escort her, it was a man's honor to let the woman ride with me. Sa una ay tumanggi pa siya dahil may dala naman daw siyang sasakyan at itinuro niya ang isang itim na MV Agusta. Nagulat ako dahil hindi halata sa kanya na ganong klase ng mga sasakyan ang ginagamit niya. When she saw my shocked face, she took back what she said and told me that she was just joking. Pero habang sinasabi niya iyon ay parang hindi siya mapakali. Maybe she wasn't comfortable wtih me.

I was busy driving on a moderate speed when I heard her grunt. It was like she was frustrated with something and I don't know what is it. Should I ask her?

"Is there anything wrong, young lady?" Tanong ko sa kanya dahilan para makuha ko ang atensyon niya at humarap sa akin. I saw her face close enough to realize that she was blushing. Why? Ngumiti lamang ito at marahang umiling bago ibinalik ang tingin sa daan. Damn Kaelan! Try to start a conversation!

"Do you also work for the Sullivano?" Pagsisimula ko habang nauutal at palingalinga ng tingin. What the hell is wrong with me? Tumango ito bilang sagot pero hindi niya parin ako tinitingnan. Nah, this won't work.

" I see" sagot ko bago nagdesisyong tumahimik na lamang at magmaneho. Nakita ko na ang bukana ng paliparan kaya binilisan ko ng konti ang pagmamaneho. This is a private airport for the Sullivanos. Agad na bumukas ang malaking harang para makapasok kami. Upon entering, the wide runway welcomed us at sa gitna noon ay ang kalalapag pa lamang na eroplano. We arrived just in time.

I stopped the engine and got my keys when I heard her.

"Ouch" reklamo niya dahil sa nakalimutan niya yatang suot niya pa ang seatbelt. She's cute. Lumapit ako sa kanya dahilan para ikabigla niya. Our bodies almost touched and her face is so close to mine but she just froze. Her eyes almost bawled out of their sockets. Agad kong kinalas ang seatbelt niya at bumalik sa upuan ko. Narinig ko ang malakas niyang pagbuntong hininga. I smiled at the realization of how I affect her.

Agad akong lumabas ng kotse at pinagbuksan siya ng pinto. She thanked me in a low voice while I just smiled at her. Nakita ko ring bumaba na ng kanilang sasakyan ang iba oang mga tauhan at lumapit na sa kinaroroonan ng eroplano.

Her POV

The idiot's already discharged from the hospital simply because his wounds don't need expert's attention. But that's what I wanted. Nandito na kami ngayon sa Toledo at hinihintay siyang mag ayos. We're heading to Pentagon which excites me. How awesome could Pentagon be? Nandun na sina Nirvana and Mom at sinabi niyang dumating na rin daw si Trione. Another aloof kid of the year. Alam narin nina Harper na doon nila dadalhin ang ginoo. I was pacing back and forth in front of Raijin's room waiting for him to come out but he's taking so long. What's wrong?
