Trione's POV

Kyoto, Japan

Is there really a happy ending? Or just an ending? Does forever really exist? Does true love exist?

I've been trying to answer those questions while staring at a couple, sitting on a bench, watching the sunset romantically. Sweet.

I looked at my watch and it's almost six in the evening. I have to finish this.

I took my gun and assembled its silencer. I have to do this smoothly and without a trace. I am at the park right now, hiding behind a humongous tree, aiming for my target who is approximately ten meters away.

I pointed the gun and prepared to pull the trigger when the man kissed his wife on her forehead. Sweet. I guess true love really exists. But not happy endings, not forever.

Nakita ko ang pagkabigla at takot sa mukha ng babae nang unti-unting dumaloy ang mga dugo sa mukha ng kanyang minamahal na asawa. Nagsimula siyang umiyak at humingi ng tulong. May mga lumapit na tao at tumulong sa kanya upang maidala ang lalake sa pinakamalapit na ospital. Umaasang hindi pa huli ang lahat.

"That was brutal and ruthless, man!"

I sighed. Here we go again. Itinago ko na ang baril at nagsimulang maglakad papunta sa aking kotse.

"You broke her heart man! Sabagay, diyan ka naman magaling." She let out a mocking laugh while I went straight to the car and started its engine. Who is this woman again? Ah, she's a psycho monster kid.

I heard the passenger door open and she went in.

"Tomorrow's news headline would be exciting. "

Iiling iling kong pinaandar ang kotse pabalik sa mansyon. I have to report to the boss about my mission and of course, I have to be always by his side. I am his protector, I am his bodyguard. Binilisan ko ang pagpapatakbo ng sasakyan dahilan para itaas niya ang kanyang mga paa dala ng pagkabigla.

"Chill there man! Whoah! I don't wanna die virg---"

"Shut up Harper. Do not pollute my car with your dirty words."

I heard her laugh and shut her mouth in surrender. This kid loves profanities and dirty words. She has the free will to say so but not inside my car. I respect this so much that I'd kill any insolent creature.

"Trione, the highly ethical Vanguard. How ironic." she said out of mockery. I just glared at her and focused on driving. She is a waste of my time which I intend to devote to useful things. I could do better just by staring at the moon than dealing with her.

I gave a quick glance to the moon and smiled, appreciating its beauty. She loves the moon and it satisfies me just by looking at it. It makes me happy that even though we are miles apart, we are still staring at the same sky, at the same moon.

While thinking about her, something popped into my mind. An answer to my questions earlier.

Happy endings really exist, but not for everyone. True love exists, but not at all times. And forever? It is a choice.

I bowed to the mafia boss while my brother who stood beside the boss, devoid of emotions, simply nodded at me. His cold eyes makes me go numb even if he is a brother to me. Kahit na matagal na kaming magkasama ay hindi parin nawawala ang nakakatakot na epekto ng kanyang mga mata.
