Stupid Islands

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

"Are you serious?!" I asked as I started pacing back and forth. "I'm afraid so," replied my only friend on this stupid island.

"So you're telling me, that I can't leave this island because of these stupid idiots, that decided to enter this 'territory'?" I asked.

"Um... Yeah that pretty much summarizes it," responded Travis as he stuffed his hands in his pockets.

Okay.

So there were these few jerks that felt it was right to come to this island. Now all of a sudden, 

"NO ONE CAN LEAVE THE ISLAND!" I exclaimed, not knowing I had said it out loud.

"Yeah, um... I think we both know that already," Travis said, scrunching up his face.

Oh yeah, I forgot.

Travis is my best (and only) friend on this stupid, stupid island. We met when I was practicing my sword fighting against a tree, when I accidentally chopped the tree down and my sword broke.(It was cheap anyways. About 100 diamonds) Travis ( being the super hero he is) jumped in and saved me.

I was suddenly distracted from my thought by someone pushing me into the bushes that stood behind us. It was Travis.

"What the heck!" I exclaimed, right when Travis covered my mouth with his hand. "Shhh," he whispered. "Someone's coming."

We ducked behind the bushes only to find that a cat had come from behind a near by tree.

"Are you serious?" I asked as I got up from behind the bush and turned around to help Travis up. "Sorry, I thought it was a person, not your neighbors cat!" he exclaimed.

"Look" I said, "Thanks for trying to save me and all, but I think it was pretty stupid that you had to push me," I retorted.

I was starting to notice that I had a habit of saying the word stupid a lot. It wasn't a bad thing but at the same time it wasn't a good thing.

"Well I'm sorry that you're still upset that you couldn't leave the island," Travis said as he turned around, about to leave the clearing in the forest.

"No wait, Travis it's my fault,." I sighed. "I've just been so excited about my mother finally letting me leave this island and live on my own. I was just upset that I couldn't go because of the sudden curse on the ocean," I said, my head facing another direction. Being 19 and in a world where there were always a change of plans got me mad. It's like I had story, and someone was always out to break the fourth wall of it.

"It's okay," Travis replied. " I know you've been looking forward to this trip ever since you were 16 years old. I get it. You just need some time alone," Travis said. And with that, he left. Gone. Not from my life but from this stupid clearing...

Laurance's  P.O.V

Once I had found out that we were stuck on this island, I knew we were going to have to do something about it. Of course I had to do something about it. I'm a guard, it's my job.

*Sigh*

I decided to go for a little stroll in the nearby forest to let out some steam. It's not easy being a shadow knight ya' know.

" Are you serious?!" I heard.

The voices were coming from a near by clearing.

It doesn't hurt to listen in...

Wow... I didn't know others were upset about us coming here. That girl in particular.

She looked pretty... upset. She was looking forward to leaving and we ruined it for her. Well, if I was going to be staying here for a while, I might as well get to know her.

Gathering up my courage, I stood up straight from my position and walked over to her...

A/N: Yo bros. ( I have a habit of saying that a lot) Anyways, I hope you liked my first chapter of: Being Grateful.
