Edit: Sry. I keep forgetting the 'stupid' in the title. I was tired that day. I was also reviewing my notes and the chapter names didn't match up. Sorry again.

Your P.O.V:

I glared at the man in front of me. I was disgusted. Nausea began to build up in my stomach.

"What?" I asked in a dangerously low voice. Gene chuckled; a smirk following shortly after.

"I said I want you. Is there something wrong with that?" he asked. He seemed to be nearing closer by the second. Before he could get any closer, a bright light flashed before my eyes, knocking me to the side, and on my side. I groaned in pain. It didn't hurt that much, but sure did have an impact. I shielded my eyes to look up at who pushed me.

"What the heck! Did you not see-... oh my Irene," I mumbled, cutting myself off of my words.

In front of me stood a divine-like figure, hovering about two meters from the ground. A sword in their right hand. She was immortal, yet human. She was different, yet normal at the same time? I was confused until the sound of her voice rung out.

"Don't you dare touch her!" the voice spoke. My eyes widened. I couldn't believe it. Emmalyn really wasn't lying.

"Aphmau?" I whispered to myself in confusion. I knew what Emmalyn had said was true, but I was of one to believe with my eyes rather than by word. But now, I had to admit that I was truly stunned.

Gene looked at Aphmau wide-eyed.

"W-what? This can't be! Y-you can't be her..." he trailed off before shaking himself out of his trance. He began to laugh mischievously.

"Oh, this is just too good! Did you really think something like this would intimidate me? Well, let's see how this works out!" he laughed. His voice began to sound deeper as his figure grew taller. He all of a sudden seemed way more intimidating than he did about five seconds ago.

Red particles began to form around him. His once black attire was covered in crimson red. I bit my lip hard. He was a shadow knight, and that was now a confirmed fact.

Why was I just sitting there? I should be there helping! But no matter what I did, I just couldn't bring myself to get up from my sitting position on the ground.

"When is Laurance coming?" I thought. Was he also in trouble? I needed to make sure. Before things between Aphmau and Gene became a full fledged fight, I stealthily ran off to find Laurance. I just needed to know he was okay.

Gene's (3rd Person) P.O.V:

This was exactly what Gene wanted to happen. He knew about Aphmau's divine transformation. In fact, he much about almost everybody in the village.

Everybody except you.

You were quite the mystery. Feisty at one point, quiet at the next. He needed to know more about you. Your flaws and weaknesses, your lover (which he already knew) and their secrets. This all tied into blackmailing either you or Laurance. Although he had to admit, Laurance did have a pretty good taste in women. The first time Gene saw you, he was blown away. You beauty had mesmerised him.

He wanted you all to himself. That's how he wanted it to be.

Originally he was out for Laurance, to try and convince him to join the other shadow knights and begin another revolution. But ever since you came into the picture, there was a drastic turn of events.

Gene was pulled out of his thoughts when a 'thud' rung out in his ears. He looked down to Aphmau. She was no longer in her divine form.

"Anybody can beat you, huh?" Gene snickered. He hadn't even been paying attention to what he was doing whilst fighting Aphmau. She was just that easy to beat. Gene decided to leave her there. It would maybe give the others a warning. If they didn't give him what he wanted, then things would get much, much worse for them.

Gene turned and walked out of the village. His work here was done. Hopefully all he had to do was sit and wait...

Laurance's P.O.V:

"(Y/n)! What are you doing here? Are you okay? Where's Aphmau? What about Gene?" I asked, question upon question kept spilling out. (Y/n) just hugged me.

"I'm fine. Aphmau turned into this... divine... thing, though. I remember Emmalyn telling me about her divine form. Last I saw, Gene and Aphmau were about to go head to head," she finished. She then rubbed her side.

"Although, the power impact ended up pushing me to the ground. My side hurts pretty bad. I didn't know it would get worse," she said. I nodded my head and held her hands in mine.

"Don't worry. We'll get you some ice," I responded. (Y/n) nodded before looking around. The area was now quiet. Too quiet.

"What happened to everyone else? What happened to the shadow knights the others were supposed to fight?" I chuckled. I guess we both needed the answers to our questions.

"I don't know. I think the shadow souls were either chased off, or just disappeared. It's kind of weird though. A war was literally beginning to develop. Now, our opponents are gone?" I reasoned. We really needed a break from all of this drama. It seemed as if everyday there was something for us to do. I just wanted to be free for at least a day.

I wanted to spend time with (Y/n)...

I could tell how much Gene wanted her. It got me extremely upset. I knew part of the reason he was here was because he wanted me to return to the Nether. But, why did he need (Y/n)?

A/n: The next chapter is better. I promise. I've been getting writers block! But don't worry, tomorrow it'll disappear (I hope). I've been keeping this chapter in for about a week!
