Your P.O.V:

"Who goes there?" I called out to a mysterious figure behind a few trees.

Laurance was asleep in the forest clearing we were at earlier on and Aphmau was...

Wait. Where is Aphmau? I thought as I lowered my sword down and looked at my surroundings.

I heard a ruffle behind a few trees; then a sword slicing through the air. I rolled my eyes in disapproval as I quickly turned around with my sword ready in hand. The sword of the opposing person collided with mine.

"N-Nicole?" I asked as I took a step back. Nicole squinted back at me, only for her eyes to widen in realization.

"(Y/N)?! OH MY IRENE IT'S BEEN SO LONG!" She exclaimed as she pulled me into a large bear hug.

I hate bears. But not as much as I hated hugs.

"Okay, okay that's enough hugging." I said as I pried Nicole off of me. She blushed.

"Sorry. I've just missed you so much. But I see you're still as stoic as ever." Nicole drawled. I frowned; taking offense to her comment.

"Wow. Gee, thanks." I deadpanned. Nicole giggled, thus making me cringe.

"Who are you here with?" She asked as she slid her sword back in her sheath.

"Aphmau and Laurance;" I replied. "what about you?" I asked.

"I am here with Lady Katelyn and a guy who claims to be your friend; Travis, I think was his name."

My eyes grew big. "Travis came? Yes!" I exclaimed as I did a stupid happy dance.

"Yeah. Once we're in Scaleswind, we can catch up." Nicole said as she looked at me weirdly.

I stopped dancing once I heard a sound. My senses were starting to kick in. I turned around to see Laurance.

"Oh hey Laurance." Said Nicole as she slightly waved. I stood there thinking.

Phoenix Drop and Scaleswind are probably allies. Maybe that's how Nicole, Aphmau, and Laurance know each other. I thought.

Nicole stared at me. I bit my lip as I continued to think.

When did Dad have time to build a whole village? That must've taken a long time. Why didn't he invite Mom and I to live there?"  I thought.

Nicole waved her hand in front of my face. This annoyed me, causing me to walk away from her while I thought.

Nicole knew when I was thinking of something or not. When were young, I would think about the small arguments that our parents would have. She always tried her best to get me to snap out of it.

Unfortunately, it didn't always work on me.

I took a deep breath and sighed in disappointment. I didn't have time to think about the past.

I looked back and noticed that I was walking aimlessly into the forest.

I should get back.  I thought, as I looked at my dulled sword.

I can just hope that there's a stupid blacksmith in Scaleswind.

~Time Skip~

Once we got everyone together, we were on our way to Scaleswind in no time.

If I had to describe the place in one way, let me just say this:

It was stupidly gorgeous.

Red tiles decorated the floors and roofs of the castles and houses of the village, thus making me want to live here myself.

"Well, I think we can all agree that you guys are quite tuckered out. Make yourselves at home. I'll talk to Aphmau in the meantime." Said Nicole as she turned to Aphmau and handed she and I some new clothes.

"Thanks." I replied. As I went to find the nearest bath room to change. (Clothing above)

Once I was done changing, it hit me that I was still a mief'wa.

"Ugh, stupid ears and tail." I muttered as ran my hands through my hair.
