Your P.O.V:

"...Laurance... you need... to follow... me..." I huffed as I made my way over to him in the plaza.

Laurance turned around and saw me his face brightened a bit with a quick flash of worry.

"Why? W-what's wrong?" he asked as he excused his conversation with ...Logan? Yeah. I think his name was Logan... I think.

"There's no time. Just... follow me" I said as I grabbed his hand and we ran to the depths of the "Old part of Phoenix Drop".

I don't exactly know what happened to Phoenix Drop, but I made a mental note ask... wait, I thought. Who would I ask about Phoenix Drop?

I already was already on bad terms with Aphmau; the former lord of Phoenix Drop and I wasn't too keen on talking to Laurance just yet.

Ugh! I thought in frustration. I just hated all of these stupid (A/n: Strike one!) situations that I brought myself into.

Why don't I just let Travis kill Laurance?

Because I'm not a bad person.

Oh, right.

We finally reached a small clearing near an empty grave of some sort. Once Laurance saw the grave, his face darkened.

"Ungrth..." he trailed off. I looked at him meaningfully as I let go of his hand and went to sit on the ground next to the grave.

I sat down and started to hum a random tune. I did this a lot when I needed to calm my nerves. I may be tough, but I have soft side.

"Laurance?" I asked. "Yeah?" he replied.

"Who died here?" I continued hesitantly.

Start Music.

Laurance sighed. "It was a friend of mine; a wyvern to be exact." my eyes widened.

"You had a wyvern friend? I did too!" I exclaimed as I got up and stood in front of him.

"Really? Cool!" he replied, right before his blue eyes shifted back to the grave.

He walked over to it and faintly smiled.

"He and I were close. Even though he never liked humans, he still felt the need to save me from the nether..."

My e/c eyes widened at the fact that he said "nether". Is he a shadow knight? I thought as I spotted my sword about seven feet away from me. It lay where I had sat before on the ground.

I wasn't going to even try reaching for it. I wasn't scared. I have learnt self defense- since I was eight years old to be exact.

"Laurance, are you a shadow knight?" I asked while pretending to be oblivious to the situation.

"Uh... yeah... B-but not fully transformed!" he quickly said as turned to me. I relaxed. I wasn't going to be afraid of him. I remember one time, I killed a shadow knight when there was an active nether portal back on the island. I'm tougher than I look.

"I understand" I simply said as I picked three nearby flowers and placed them on Ungrth's grave. Laurance looked at me wide- eyed as he lightly shook his head.

"S-so, you're not afraid of me?" he asked as he scratched the back of his neck.

"Nope" I replied while popping the "p". I skipped up the ruined steps to see if any body was coming.

I could tell Laurance was very uncomfortable with talking about the situation so I decided to put two and two together.

Okay.

So maybe Laurance was brought to the nether and... got rescued by Ungrth in the middle of the transformation. Or, was he already in the nether? Yeah. We'll go with that. He could have been helping Aphmau with something or whatever that witch (As in Aphmau)needs him to do for her.

All of this thinking was making me tired... and hungry.

"Laurance, I'm hungry!" I complained as I lay on the grass facing upwards.

We'd been here for almost an hour or two.

"Yeah in speaking of that" Laurance said, "why did you bring me here anyways?"

Uh oh...

"Umm..." I said as I got up and shifted from one foot to the other.

Yikes! What am I supposed to say?

"TRAVIS WANTS TO KIND OF SORT OF KILL YOU BECAUSE YOU MADE A MOVE ON ME!" I screamed as ran to pick up my sword and put it in my sheath.

"That's why I wanted to help you because Travis is in his demon form, and when he is..." I trailed off.

Laurance nodded his head while confusion lined his blue eyes.

"Then why didn't you tell me all of this before?" he asked.

I groaned. "Because I was to tired... and I forgot" I admitted as I slouched. I didn't necessarily have a bad memory, I just forgot things from time to time. It happens to the best of us.

"Well then" he started as he walked over to me and did a slight bow. "After you m 'lady."

I blushed but didn't know why. I just played a long.

"Why thank you kind sir" I replied as I did a small curtsy.

With that, we followed the trail back to New Phoenix Drop. Deep inside, I was now dreading what was about to happen after getting to know Laurance a bit.

Maybe he isn't such a bad guy after all. I thought. Maybe...
