A/n: gUYS! Stuff are about to get real in this chapter, like.... UGH! If we can get over 30 to 40 reads on this chapter, then any of you can ask me for a lemon or more fluffy moments.

3rd Person P.O.V:

You lay comfortably on your bed, in Laurance's arms. Silence filled the whole house. That was, until the sound of an explosion blasted throughout the whole village. You jolted awake. Perplexed and surprised were the emotions that filled your soul; only for you to end up feeling worried.

"Did you hear that?" you asked. Laurance nodded as he got of bed and headed for the door.

"Hey?" you called out. Laurance turned around. You took a look at his attire: grey sweatpants and a white shirt.

"Aren't you gonna put on some armour?" Laurance shook his head.

"It'll be quick. I'll come back if there's any major danger." He paused for a second before asking you a question.

"Aren't you coming?" You shrugged. "Probably." Laurance nodded before running off. You sighed. You didn't feel like fighting; especially at a time like this. You needed sleep! Both you and Laurance had come back from an exhausting trip. Not to mention, the recent 'werewolf marriage' commotion. Sleep was what both of you yearned for. Maybe the two of you should go on vacation.

"Ugh, screw it..." you muttered as you grabbed your sword. You looked to see Laurance's sword leaning against the bedroom door. You rolled your eyes.

"Did he seriously forget his sword?" you asked yourself. That was probably how tired he was. You put your sword in your sheath and grabbed Laurance's sword with your free hand. You remember identifying his sword as a broad sword. Broad swords only ever felt comfortable to use in the hands of its wielder.

You walked out of the house, shutting it behind you. You broke into a sprint. The aftermath of the explosion became rapid. Smoke came from one specific direction, only to spread all over the place. The earth rumbled beneath your feet. This was not good at all.

"What's going on over here?" you asked once you arrived. The man. There he stood. Gene. Laurance stood in front of him. He turned to see you.

"(Y/n)," he breathed out. You handed him his sword.

"I hope you aren't too tired to fight," you replied. You looked around and spotted Dante. You gave him a 'what the heck is happening?' look. He gulped. Realization suddenly hit you like a storm before you began to interrogate the man before you.

"Where are Aphmau and Donna?" you asked firmly, taking out your sword and gripping it firmly. Gene smirked.

"Ah, so the pretty one finally speaks." You growled.

"'The pretty one' has a name!" Laurance stepped up from behind you.

"Ha, yeah. And 'the pretty one' is taken." Gene laughed. His smirk seemed to be growing wider.

"Oh Laurance! The immature shadow knight, isn't it?" You rolled your eyes. Gene turned to Dante.

"Ah, yes. My traitor brother. How have you been holding up?" You were quite shocked on the inside, but didn't show it.

"You seem to have a stupid name for everybody, don't you?" you snapped. Gene chuckled.

"Feisty! That's how I like it," he replied. Laurance gripped his sword tightly.
