~Time Skip~
After you and Emmalyn had finished eating at a small bakery (which mind you, wasn't as great as Kawaii-Chan's), Emmalyn led you to a small inn-like building where she was told you'd all be staying in.
Stepping inside, you placed the stack of books you once held in your arms on a small table that stood to the side. You sighed out a breath of relief.
"Emmalyn, do you know which room we're sleeping in tonight?" you asked as you took in the sight of the room. It was quite simple; the room had a wooden table in the centre, along with a couple of chairs tucked underneath. Cupboards hung below the ceiling against the wall and there was a flight of stairs that lead to another floor of the inn.
"I'm not exactly sure," Emmalyn started as she placed her pile of books on the dining table, "but I believe Aphmau will be here soon. We can stay upstairs in the meantime. That could be where we're supposed to sleep anyway," Emmalyn suggested as she headed toward the upper level of the inn. You followed after her.
"Wait," you called out on the stairs, "where is Aphmau?" She had been gone for quite some time, now. You wondered where she could be.
"I told you," Emmalyn started, "she went to go visit the lord of Meteli." You raised a curious brow.
"Seriously? It sure has been a while... do you think I should check up on her?" you suggested quickly. Emmalyn shook her head as the two of you reached the top of the stairs. On the top level, there were a few twin beds pushed against the sides and corners of the wall. On the opposite side, there were shelves filled with various sewing materials and accessories; as well as a sewing machine.
"This person seems to like sewing..." you muttered, not intending for your words to be heard. Although Emmalyn chuckled.
"You guessed right," she laughed. "The person who owns this place loves to sew. In fact, for a period of time, she lived in Phoenix Drop," Emmalyn stated. The two of you chose a bed to sit on.
"Really?" you asked, "have you met her?" Emmalyn nodded her head with a smile.
"Oh, yes!" Emmalyn replied, "she actually designed my wedding dress. Oh, (Y/n) it was so beautiful. I can't wait to see her again!" You tilted your head to the side.
"You say that as if she's on her way no--" The creaking sound of an opening door interrupted your words.
"(Y/n)? Emmalyn?" a voice called. It sounded like Aphmau. "Are you guys here?" You glanced at Emmalyn before making your way down the flight of stairs.
"Aphmau, Katelyn!" Emmalyn exclaimed from behind you, greeting the two. You gave a small smile. There seemed to be somebody standing behind them
"Cadenza? Oh, my gosh! How are you?" A lady with vibrant orange and yellow hair stood behind Aphmau, a cheery smile plastered on her face. Oh, happiness...
It made you sick.
"Emmalyn! It is so good to see you again!" Cadenza exclaimed as she brought Emmalyn in a bone-crushing hug. You awkwardly stood there, waiting patiently for them to finish their "formalities".
"Ah, how rude of me," the fiery-headed woman excused as she looked at you. You looked around as if there was a possibility that she could be talking to somebody else other than you. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
"Um, hi?" you questioned. Katelyn cleared her throat.
"Cadenza, this is (Y/n). She is a good friend of ours that we brought along on the trip. She serves as a great asset to our team," she stated proudly. Her pride in you kind of made you happy. Katelyn the Fire Fist took pride in your skills? She had been your role model for as long as you could remember. It was such an honour...
