Chapter 8 A new beginning

Third Person

Sans woke up early, Papyrus wasn't up yet so he walked down the stairs and sat on the couch, he turned on the tv and flipped through the channels to pass the time, later on he heard the familiar slam of Papyrus's door and his loud steps down the stairs. He looked over at him "mornin bro" he said "GOOD MORNING BROTHER!  YOU'RE UP EARLY,  IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT? DID YOU HAVE ANOTHER NIGHTMARE AGAIN?" "Nah paps I'm fine, just woke up early I suppose" Papyrus nodded and went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast while Sans continued to flip through the channels until he heard a knock at the door, "SANS CAN YOU GET THE DOOR?" Papyrus called from the kitchen "sure thing bro" Sans replied, and he opened the door, Toriel stood there with Chara and he greeted them both "You'll end up chilled to the bone if you stand out there for long, come on in" Toriel laughed at the pun and walked in with Chara who had been silent the entire time. Papyrus walked out of the kitchen and stopped in his tracks "QUEEN TORIEL!?" He shouted "No Papyrus I'm just Toriel now" she smiled at Papyrus "OH I SEE.. WELL IT'S GOOD TO SEE YOU AND THE TINY HUMAN ARE WELL!  NYEHEHEHE" he announced joyfully as he ran back into the kitchen. Sans sat on the couch and noticed Chara do the same he flipped through some channels then glanced at Chara "what's wrong kiddo,  you're really out of Character today" he chuckled at his own pun,  Chara looked at him then began to giggle uncontrollably tears rolling down her eyes and looked at Sans "I always enjoyed your puns, but I couldn't really enjoy them until now,  thank you Sans" She smiled at him. "Heh, no problem kiddo, by the way,  I was just about to head to Grillby's wanna go with me?" Sans asked "sure" Chara replied "Let's go then" Sans said grabbing Chara's hand and teleporting in front of grillby's. Sans opened the door letting Chara go in first then teleported to his seat. Chara sat beside him as Grillby approached and Sans decided to order for the both of them, "I'll take a bottle of ketchup,  what would you like kiddo,  fries or a burg?" Chara decided to eat a burger, after they finished eating they teleported back to the house where an annoyed Toriel stood tapping her feet at them Chara and Sans both gulped

"Where have you and Sans been my child?" Toriel asked Chara with a clearly annoyed tone, Chara noticed she was glaring at Sans knowing he was the culprit "Sans asked me if I wanted to go to Grillby's with him mom, we didn't mean to worry you, we're sorry" Chara replied hoping that this would help lessen whatever punishment Toriel had in store for them. Then Sans spoke up "Yeah we're sorry Tor I should have let you and Papyrus know where we were going, won't happen again,  I promise" he said with a plastered grin on his face.  Toriel sighed and smiled at them they both gulped again noticing the fire still in her eyes "You're still not getting off that easy"
