Chapter 19 Confessions

Third Person

Toriel smiled at Chara and said "I am glad you want to break the barrier my child, I will gladly help you but aren't you hiding something else you should be telling me?" Sans and Chara both looked at each other nervously, Chara spoke up first "how did you know there was something else mom? " She asked and Toriel smiled brightly. "Mother's intuition, also you two have been looking at each other nervously since you got here so it was kind of obvious my child" Sans and Chara both sighed and in unison said "we've started dating" Toriel looked shocked at first then smiled "well as long as you're happy my child, and as long as Sans keeps you happy" she glares daggers at Sans who shrinks a bit at her glare "mom.. Sans wouldn't hurt me, I hurt him a lot and he's forgiven me for so much, I trust him with my heart and my soul" Chara announced smiling brightly at Sans as she did and Sans chimed in "and I trust her as well Tor, heart and soul" agreeing with Chara and smiling back at her both blushing.Toriel chuckled and smiled, they finished the pie and Toriel decided that they would wait a few days before starting the journey to confront Asgore, so Sans and Chara went to Grillby's. When they walked in Grillby greeted the both of them from behind the counter, "hey grillbz" Sans greeted him, Chara just smiled and waved,they sat at the bar "what can I get for you today?" Grillby asked "a burger" Chara replied "I'll just have a bottle of ketchup and fries Grillbz" Sans replied. Grillby nodded and walked into the back shortly after coming back with their order, while eating Sans spoke up "so Chara.. I guess this means that we get a bit of time to ourselves before we start yo-I mean our journey" he said "Chara nodded blushing and smiled at Sans "y-yeah I guess we do.. Did you have anything in mind Sans?" She asked him. Sans scratched his head nervously then spoke up "we could go on a real date and maybe you won't run away this time? Heh" he laughed smiling at her with a tinge of blue on his face Chara's face was bright red and she nervously replied "o-okay Sans.. I-i would love to go on a d-date with you.." Sans chuckled at her stutters smiling and jokingly said "I look forward to it,  but less stutter this time hm?" Chara nodded smiling her face still bright red. They finished eating and waved goodbye to Grillby as they walked out heading back to Snowdin, when they got back they sat on the couch, Papyrus still hadn't returned home yet so he was still training with Undyne. Sans yawned to himself then Chara yawned as well, "Time for a nap, Chara?" Sans asked chuckling, Chara only nodded and snuggled up against Sans's jacket falling asleep quickly Sans smiled and using his magic pulled a blanket over them and wrapped his arms around her and closes his eyes.
