Chapter 96 Explanation

You're probably wondering what all I know, and we will get to that once we reach my lab, most of the monsters in hotland have either turned or gone berserk and can't be trusted, if we get into a fight and you can't save them, just fight them, there's no time right now.

Third Person

Everyone was shocked, not only did Alphys not stutter, but she talked about ending another life without fear or remorse, almost without feeling, but there was no static, no underlying cause to Alphys's unusual calm, they kept quiet about it, not wanting to cause any form of alarm, once at Alphys's lab Alphys opened the doors and let everyone in, locking them behind in case of monsters trying to break in, she had them follow her down corridors and hallways all the way to the elevator which led to the abandoned part of the lab, and they descended, once down there she took them to the room with the screens that Chara had found previously and pointed to one of them, the only one that seemed normal to Chara and everyone else, until they saw it, in the very corner almost too small to see, was a grey flower with dark black petals.

Chara

What is that, Alphys? I asked not sure if I even wanted to know, Alphys seemed to be contemplating telling me before sighing and fiddling with her glasses

The flower you see in the picture is a soulless heartless Flowey, they are not a part of Asriel at all, and are very dangerous, I've been watching them for as long as I've been in the underground, and everything that creature touches becomes corrupted, somehow they've gained access to all of the underground and are just making a mess of everything, the static that you hear is just the sounds that we hear in the underground being corrupted and changed, that's why when you reenact the correct way that the timeline should be the static disappears and the correct sounds return.. It seems that Genocide and Negative Flowey as I've decided to call him have teamed up, but now even Genocide is too weak to protect themselves from him, while he is only growing stronger.

Third Person

Taking this all in everyone thought long and hard for awhile, Alphys went back to the screens and played back each time the flower appeared, which was everywhere there was static, so Negative Flowey was able to corrupt the timeline freely now, probably with Genocide's power and ability to teleport.

???

So you figured it out.. Not that it matters.. I'm going to destroy this and every timeline in existence and I'm not gonna erase them, I'm gonna leave them, corrupted and decaying, find another timeline and do the same over and over again until everything is corrupted like me!

Third Person

Everyone heard the voice but the owner was nowhere to be seen, but they all knew who it belonged to, Negative Flowey.
