Third Person

Frisk and Chara looked around as they stepped inside the room, a fan hung above spinning slowly, books were piled on bookcases scattered around, it was more like a mad scientists lab than a principal's office, the principal was out of sight, behind his large brown chair, he had an old quill pen on his desk with papers scattered around on top of it, Chara spoke up, "you asked for us, sir?"

"Ah, Chara and Frisk, so wonderful to see you again" I turned my chair around to greet them both, when they realized who I was I could tell they were shocked "Gaster?!" They both shouted in unison, "yes, it's me, though I'm not your real principal, I'm here temporarily since the void hasn't taken hold of me yet in this timeline. No, I'm here to help answer some of your questions, but to also provide new questions without answers, for I don't have the answers to everything." The confusion on their faces made me smile, it was nice, being alive again, but once again, it was only temporary, soon the void would take a hold of me once more, and I would vanish again, to that black abyss that holds no escape. "Why was the world erased?" Chara spoke up first, as usual, always taking the initiative, I answered with no emotion "because, you and Sans are never meant to be, the longer the two of you stay together, the more the timeline begins to unravel and break, eventually the timeline is forced to erase itself, to force you to reset,  Chara." Her face was filled with rage, "why? Why can't I be with him? Isn't there any way to stop the time line from erasing itself, to change the timeline, to allow us to be together?" I frowned, "I don't know the answer to that one, I'm sorry." Chara seemed distraught, Frisk was trying to hold her but Chara was fighting anger and sadness and burst out yelling, "I won't give up on him! Ever! Even if I have to keep going through this same nightmare until I figure out how to be with him without the timeline erasing itself!" Tears were running down her face, Frisk looked at me, as though she had a question and spoke up, "will Chara lose her body again, in this timeline, will her soul be stuck in my body again?" I smiled, "no, she will remain in her own body, and you your own, this timeline will be very different, and at the same time very dangerous, this timeline you will both enter the underground, soon, and when you do, you will be forced to fight, or spare, Sans." When I said this both Frisk and Chara exchanged looks of worry, and looked back to me, questioning in unison, "what do you mean we will have to fight or spare Sans?!" I frowned again, "I can't answer that question, that's for you both to figure out when you get there."
