Chapter 35 The Journey Resumes

Third Person

Chara was finally fully recovered, she stepped off the table and stumbled a bit, Sans caught her and set her upright allowing her to use him as support letting go when she could walk on her own, "it feels good, being able to walk again, and to feel everything from my own perspective, to not be stuck in someone else's body" she says smiling up at Sans.

Sans smiles down at her and chuckles, "are you sure you don't want to wait a bit longer before we head to Asgore?" Sans asked, concerned that she wanted to continue after only now just recovering. Chara shook her head no and smiled at Sans, "I want to set everyone free as soon as possible, and now that I'm strong enough to move around, it's the best time to get moving again" she said with determination behind her words. Sans nodded and they made their way to the dining area of the lab and sat down for a well deserved meal that wasn't in bed for once, after they finished eating Toriel and the others except for Frisk all came out and sat with them, they all were surprised to see Chara already fully recovered except for Alphys who explained that it was Chara's determination that sped up her recovery, they all nod in agreement and congratulate her and welcome her back.

Sans spoke up "listen everyone, Chara has decided to continue on to King Asgore's Castle, today, so we need to be ready to leave soon, also thank you Alphys for your hospitality" Alphys nods and shyly backs away towards her lab waving goodbye to everyone, after she's gone everyone notices that Frisk can't be found anywhere, so they start searching for her everywhere, Toriel searched around outside with Undyne and Papyrus while Sans, Chara, and Alphys searched down in the lab, they searched high and low but Frisk couldn't be found anywhere.

Sans decided it would be best to split up so they can cover more ground, Sans went down towards one side of the lab alphys went another and Chara went down a long hallway, she found an elevator at the end of it, something urged her to turn around but she had to find Frisk, she pressed the button to go down and it started it's decent, a long time goes by before it finally stops and the doors open.

Sans had searched all over and had met up with Alphys who also hadn't found any sign of Frisk, they headed back when they saw the elevator had been used and frowned and Sans teleported the both of them to the bottom and they ran in search of Chara now fearing for her life, Chara wandered around searching for Frisk, groans and scratching sounds followed her and she turned around, but nothing was there, she darted around a corner and into a room, she backed up a few steps when something hit her from behind, "you can't have Sans Chara" She heard someone say before blacking out.
