Chapter 14 The Date

Third Person

Sans and Chara walked into the MTT Resort and walked over to the service desk, while Sans was busy getting them seats for the restaurant Chara was staring at Sans the whole time, unknowingly, with a small tinge of red on her cheeks and a smile on her face. Sans looked over at her and she quickly looked away nervously staring down at her feet,  Sans had finished getting a table and walked over to her and lifted her chin to look at her but when he did his heart skipped a beat, she had a bright red blush across her face but he didn't notice that, all he saw was her eyes, they had longing in them,  no longer were those eyes filled with sorrow or hate, they looked beautiful. "If you follow me, I will direct you to your table" Sans snapped back to reality realizing he was only inches from Chara's face *when did I get this close?* he thought to himself.  "Alright then" Sans replied as he grabbed Chara's hand and they walked into the restaurant and were seated. Chara hadn't spoken for awhile except to order her food and drinks, she looked down thinking to herself he.. He was so close what was he going to do? Kiss me? No maybe I had something on my face.. But that stare of his- "Chara? Everything alright?" Sans asked concerned. Chara snapped out of her thoughts immediately shaking her head and finishing eating as a tinge of red lined her cheeks,  Sans nodded and didn't press any further. They walked out of the resort and Chara hugged Sans quickly letting go after,  Sans was startled from the sudden hug but smiled and said "I take it that means you enjoyed yourself Chara?" He smiled and looked at her, Chara blushed and smiled back "yes I did, thank you Sans" then Chara looked over at Sans seriously and said "Sans? What did you mean by you would prove that I'm loved today?" She looked at him questioningly "Chara you are loved, Toriel loves you me and Papyrus enjoy your company, you're actually a great person now that we've gotten to know you better" Chara stayed silent and just looked on in disbelief they like having me around? Sans does? she snapped out of her thoughts when Sans reached for her hand "hey I'd like to show you something Chara" he said while walking, Chara didn't reply she was still shocked by what Sans had said, they arrived at a field of Echo flowers and Chara gasped as she looked up hundreds of blue flowers maybe even thousands were on the ground glowing bright blue she smiled brightly then smiled and looked at Sans who was now only a few inches away from her again he had a tinge of blue on his face as he lifted her chin with his hand and said "you know, you're loved a skeleton Chara" and pressed his teeth against her lips, Chara's eyes went wide but she relaxed the longing look in her eyes settled and she kissed him back. As they stood there in the field of Echo flowers they both thought in unison I love them.
