Chapter 15 Denial

Chara couldn't believe what she was feeling, Sans had his teeth pressed against her lips like a kiss, this can't be happening, it's just a dream right? Any second now I'll wake up she thought to herself. But when she opened her eyes he was still there, she gave in and she melted into the kiss she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back but quickly pulled away a tear rolling down her cheek and ran away back to Snowdin leaving Sans there dumbstruck. Chara ran and ran tears falling down her face. Why!? Why me!? Why not someone else!? I've done too much! Hurt him too much! How can he just forgive me like that and kiss me..!? Her mind was a rush of emotions thoughts past through her mind quickly "I killed everyone" "I don't deserve love" "I'm a monster" "why did he forgive me" I deserve to die" all the way back to snowdin. She burst through the door ignoring Papyrus' greeting and ran upstairs shutting and locking the door behind her, she leaned against the corner of the room, bringing her chest to her knees and sobbed alone in the dark room. Sans stood there among the flowers as he watched the tear drops fall from her face when she ran. Damit!  Why'd I go and do that.. Should I go after her? Yes I have to, she kissed me back.. Didn't she? he thought to himself then started to chase after her "Chara!" He yelled out but she was already long gone, he teleported back to snowdin and saw her footprints at the doorstep, he let himself in, Papyrus was already asleep in his room. Sans walked up the stairs following the footprints up to his door, he knocked, no answer. He heard noises behind the door small sobbing noises could be heard echoing in the room softly. He tried the door handle, locked. "Chara, I'm coming in, I don't have any chocolate with me this time, you gotta talk to me." He said before he snapped his fingers and teleported inside his room, there he saw Chara knees hugged to her chest sobbing in the corner of the room. Sans sighed and walked over and picked Chara up bridal style and held her close as he sat on his bed. Chara tried to squirm out of his grip but Sans wasn't gonna let her run away again. "Chara..look at me please" he said softly, Chara reluctantly looked up shocked to see Sans with tears in his eyes, not tears of anger but sadness, she could see it.
"Sans? Why are you crying?" She asked, Sans looked at her "because I was worried I did something wrong." He said, Chara stared at him for awhile then smiled wiping the tears from her eyes and looks at Sans saying "could you..kiss me again? I won't run away this time" Sans didn't need to answer he smiled and pressed his teeth against her lips and she kissed him back and this time she didn't push away, they stopped the kiss to get some air, tinges of red and blue across their faces, Chara spoke up "Sans?" She asked "Yeah Chara?" Sans replied, "can you.. Sleep with me tonight?" Her entire face was red, Sans was no better his was was bright blue, he smiled and set her on the bed crawling in next to her and wrapped his arms around her waist, she snuggled into him and smiled and just before she fell asleep she whispered
"I love you Sans"
