Third Person

Sans got closer and closer to Chara as her backing away slowed to a halt, his red eye, focused on her, his only thoughts, of killing, Chara breathed in short breaths, having trouble keeping her heart from beating too loud, she wasn't afraid of dying, she was afraid of losing Sans again, she couldn't run this time, she couldn't endanger Papyrus this time either, she had to face him, alone if she had to.

Frisk started to sing behind Chara, it seemed to have no effect on Sans, Chara tried to sing along but she was forced to stop when avoiding Sans's axe, every time it hit the ground or passed overhead Chara could feel her determination wavering, Frisk continued on singing alone, but Sans was paying no attention to her at all. The song was having no effect on Sans and Chara was starting to slow down, was she doubting herself? Sans caught Chara with an unexpected punch to the ribs, Chara gasped as she got the wind knocked out of her, she stumbled back and looked up as Sans had his axe raised,  his eye glowing bright red and a sinister grin on his face "maybe next reset" Chara muttered, the axe came down, but Chara wasn't hit by it, she was pushed out of the way, the axe hit the ground a tearing sound and a gasp of pain were heard, Chara looked up to see Frisk on the ground, the axe was in her back, she'd pushed her out of the way to save her.

Tears welled up in her eyes and Chara felt determination flow through her as she sung a song from her heart, the red glow in Sans's eyes wavered and flickered, blue, red, blue, then plain white, the same pupils she knew and loved, but he wasn't back, the static fought back, louder than before and the red eye returned, Sans picked his axe up and swung at Chara, she rolled out of the way not stopping her singing as tears ran down her face, a song of sadness and love, it broke down the walls of the static and left Sans immobilized as he returned to his normal size, his classic grin on his face, the pink slippers, black shorts, and blue jacket he always wore, the crack on his skull disappeared and the static died down till it was merely a whisper, Chara continued to sing even then as she walked slowly up to Frisk who was still lying on the ground, the wound on her back was terrible, more tears fell from her face, and hit the ground the song continued on and the static seemed to mimic it, eventually the static changed to resound the song entirely, Frisk's body suddenly disappeared from the ground, a hand touched Chara's shoulder and she turned around, Frisk was standing there, buttercups had formed on her arm, and on her back. "It's alright, I'm still here Chara, don't cry."
