Chapter 71 Look Out!

Sans moved closer to me, the axe dragging on the ground, he wasn't talking, but the stare he gave me, was piercing and eerie "S-sans?" I wasn't able to move, I just kept staring at him as he got closer, my breathing slowed, the way he was dragging the axe was menacing, then he stopped, he reached into his pocket, and a grin spread across his face, he looked at me and held out a hot dog, "want a hot dog?" I thought that this might be Sans trying to fight this, I reached out for his hand, and was suddenly pulled to the ground, he was over me in an instant "ONE HEAD DOG, COMING UP!" He held the axe above me, the shadow of it over my neck, I closed my eyes, it wasn't him, he wasn't my Sans anymore. Crack the sound of a bone cracking made me open my eyes, a bone had blocked the axe, just inches from my neck, I rolled out of the way coming to my senses and ran, looking back only to see a depressed Papyrus staring at what his brother had become, tears ran down my face as I ran to where Frisk had run to.

When I finally caught up to her I found she was at Grillby's, when she saw my face she hugged me. "Frisk, that's not Sans anymore, this static is causing everyone to change, I don't know why and I don't know how, but we need to find out what to do before everyone changes and turns against us."

EeI explained what happened to Sans and Papyrus saving me, I don't know what happened to Papyrus but we needed to avoid anywhere Sans could possibly be, I never want to fight him.. Never..

Grillby

I couldn't help but hear the conversation Frisk and Chara were having at the counter, I walked over and offered them both something to drink and eat, on the house of course, "thank you, Grillby!" Frisk said to me in a cheerful tone, Chara however was barely eating, her mind was definitely elsewhere, I cleared my throat and announced that I would be closing, I told Chara and Frisk they could stay here for the night, I have seen the changes the static has been making around the underground, it's not all bad, but some of it is downright terrifying, even for me. "Thank you Grillby, we weren't sure of where we would be staying so you're a life saver" Chara spoke up for the first time since she'd finished her conversation with Frisk, I led them to the other half of my bar, where I had two rooms, my own and a guest room, "you two can stay for as long as you like, I haven't heard any static around myself ever, so please don't feel cautious around me, I've seen what it does to the other monsters, and I'll warn you if I ever hear it, good night."
