Chapter 48 WHY WON'T YOU JUST LET ME WIN!?

Asriel loomed over them he used every attack but Chara and Frisk just dodged them all effortlessly, he felt weaker as though the souls he'd absorbed weren't responding to him anymore, he grew angry and screamed at them

Why!? Why won't you just let me win!?

He fired a beam of rainbow color at the both of them enveloping them in the light their HP dropping until 1

But it refused!

Asriel was tired he just wanted to erase the world because he lost his sister Chara, yet here she was, that wasn't possible, just a figment of his imagination right? He didn't understand, he saw his own sister dead in front of him, he also remembered absorbing her soul and bringing her body to the village she was born in, the fear on the Villagers faces, and then the anger and arrows that pierced his body and how he had vanished into dust in front of his own parents, their sobs echoing nightmarishly in his mind, and now his mind plays tricks on him?

Why!? Why can't you let me win!?

JUST LET ME WIN!

His power was exhausted, he couldn't send anymore attacks out, Frisk shouted to Chara, "Chara now! Save him!" Chara nodded opening her menu, she selected act SAVE - Asriel Dreemur.

What!? What are you doing!? You.. You want to save me...? But.. I failed.. I couldn't bring you to your village.. I didn't bring the monsters up to the surface.. I couldn't even save you..

A bright light enveloped everything Chara was alone in darkness then a flower bed appeared and in the middle of it was Asriel, he was crying into his arm, Chara walked over and looked at him and smiled and hugged him. "It's alright, Asriel, I'm not gonna leave you again" Asriel hugged her back and the flower bed disappeared, they were brought back to the Hall where everyone stood there, Asriel was crying into Chara's shoulder, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry...I couldn't.. Save you.." Chara patted him on the shoulder and told him it's alright again his tears started to fade, then he did as well, he was fading away because he had no soul to continue existing. Frisk ran up, "Asriel! You're fading away!" Asriel smiled and looked up, "well of course, without the souls I can't exist in this world any longer.. I'm glad you saved me though, thank you, Frisk, Chara, I'm glad I met you, goodb-" Asriel was interrupted by a half of a soul being shoved towards him, "wha- n-no! I can't! That's part of your soul! J-just let me disappear! I've already hurt everyone so much, I deserve to disappear..." Asriel tried to push the soul away but it was pushed inside of him instead, he started to glow, floating into the air and a bright light flashed, his faded body returned, his bright green sweater with a yellow stripe his white fur and kind eyes, he teared up and smiled.
