Chapter 42 Forgiveness

Third Person

the hug was abruptly cut short when Undyne got in between them and grabbed Frisk and hoisted her up to her face, "hey! What the hell happened!? YOU,  explain now." Undyne was glaring harshly at Frisk who was struggling in her grip, "Undyne stop! It wasn't her fault!" Chara yelled, Undyne paused for a second then switched her attention to Chara. "What do you mean its not her fault!? She hurt you, kidnapped you, she nearly killed you! How is it not her fault!?"

Undyne resumed glaring at Frisk who had tears welling up in her eyes and she was rubbing her eyes with her hands to try and stop them and then stopped and frowned and set Frisk down, "I don't really understand but.. If you really weren't the one to blame, then I forgive you..punk." Everyone nodded in agreement and went to give her a hug and cheer her up and hear her side of the story but she was pulled away by Toriel who was looking at her with pure concern in her eyes and started walking with Frisk until they were away from everyone else. Undyne and the others looked at them chatting but shrugged it off and figured it was a mother daughter thing and ran over to Chara to check on her and listen to her explain how everything happened.

"My child... When you visited me that night.. That wasn't you, was it?" Toriel asked with a very serious look on her face, "no.. It was me.. I was being influenced by my anger but... Those thoughts were.. My own.." Frisk looked down as tear drops fell from her face and hit the ground Toriel looked shocked and saddened by Frisk's words but immediately regained her composure and hugged Frisk in a motherly hold.

"Frisk.. No matter what.. Promise me you will never look at me.. The way you did that night.. I feared for your life like I did Chara's when she gave me that same look before.." Toriel couldn't finish and silently a single tear fell from her eye. Frisk noticed this and immediately hugged her tightly, "I won't mom, I promise! I will never be like that again ever!" Toriel smiled and thanked Frisk and took her hand to walk back to the others, when they got back Frisk ran over to Sans and Chara and stood in front of them and took a deep breath.

"Chara when I first met you during.. The genocide timelines I thought of you as an older sister and that you were having me do the right thing but.. You weren't.. But now you're good and.. I won't cause any trouble for you and Sans anymore so.. Could you be.. Um.. Would you be like my big sister?" Frisk looked down embarrassed after asking this, Chara ran up and hugged her and giggled "of course!  I thought we were already sisters since Toriel is our mom after all." Frisk smiled and nodded. "Thank you"

I personally had trouble writing this, I'm bad at stuff like this I find it hard to show emotion other than anger, even sadness so writing out a scene like this seemed extremely boring to me and I nearly fell asleep while writing, sorry for the rant uh.. Hope you enjoyed, vote and comment! -Tenjo
